Hello again everyone. With the new tracker it shows BG completed March 3rd. Language physical presence and prohibition are in progress and test invite and ceremony not started. I am over 55 so I'm curious as what the next step might be. I suspect I should be seeing language and test as waived (per the clarification page) and physical presence and prohibition as completed with ceremony in progress maybe?

I received my GMCS notes May 13 (requested on April 15). My file got moved to Windsor IRCC on Feb 3rd and last update on notes is that I passed criminality on march 3rd ( which coincides with BG completion date on new tracker). The hope to make it to my son's wedding In the US on July 4th is dwindling and seems almost impossible. it is extremely frustrating! My application received date is June 6, has anyone tried to escalate through their local MP? since it is passed the 12 month estimated timeline it seems like I can approach the MP with request for support. Good luck to everyone!
Hi

On IRCC web site it says that it will take longer. 12 months is not relevent anymore

I do not think MP will do anything. Again this is leasure travell and not covered by urgent processing.

Good luck

Anton

If you havent received anything till now then dont trust on it and wait.

Start for your US visa process. Fill DS160. Create profile and add your application in that website. Pay fee. Schedule for some date. Then request for urgent processing to see if they approve in a day or two. Give it a try instead of waiting. Surely they would agree for emergency request.

I am already down this path. Interview got cancelled couple of times since last year with the last one cancelled early May. Earliest appointment on their system is in 2022. I have applied for urgent processing and got rejected and their system won't allow a 2nd try. As a last resort I have send a letter to the consul General with supporting documentation asking for am urgent appointment so I can get the visa ahead of July 4th so now just waiting for reply if I ever get any. I wasn't really waiting on citizenship but it became the last hope with all what happened with the visa process. One can only hope!

This wait bothers me coz its taking 90 days aprox to get test invite after BG verifications are completed. I see Nov2020 applicants getting test invites that makes me even more mad then I see few Dec/Jan 2021 online applicants done with oath ceremony which makes more mad and crazy both.. IRCC needs to follow FIFO and not LIFO.
LOL. Yeah, I mean, looks like the workflow for online applicants is a little different. A select few December 2020 applicants are either already done with their oath ceremony or have their ceremonies scheduled in the first week of June. I'm kind of upset too but not because their applications were processed so quickly; Its because our applications are being processed slowly. There are so many 2019 applicants still waiting for a test invite which I think is abysmal.

Happy for those who made it to the finish line!

Hopefully, we'll see the backlog shrink in the near future.

My wife BG has been updated to complete yesterday, FP received by IRCC on May 30.
Congratulations Das, now i have come to the conclusion that if you move or intend to move province, don’t inform IRCC otherwise you are gonna have endless delays! My application which was sent in June 9 from Regina, reached to Sunday on June 15, AOR on Oct 26 and in process since Dec 15, reached to Saskatoon on feb 18, and then i moved to Edmonton even before it was assigned to an agent! That being said informed IRCC around Mar 18, just 2 days after move, and last update( phoned) is it reached to Edmonton on April 27, and since than chilling here. Nothing on tracker everything is in process. What a unwise move i will curse myself for rest of the year or may be for next as well! Why did i move

I believe the main purpose of informing them if you have any change of address is for communication purposes. Pre-covid, test and Oath were in person and letters were sent by mail, by changing your address with IRCC, they can schedule your in person test and oath from your closest office to your home . That way you don't have to drive KMs or fly to take the test or oath or not going to miss any communication from them. Nowadays everything is online, I won't update them if I have to change address this is just my own opinion.

Hey @Das67 … can you provide your wife’s timeline for FP? When did she get the request? When did she provide the FP? Also, was it sent to IRCC Vancouver ?
Thanks man.

Sure, she received it on May 3, took it on May 4 via an approved agency, her tracker was updated today and FP received by IRCC on May 30 and BG change to complete yesterday May 31.
