Great news! Do you know when this effective from? Does this mean that even after July 31st 2020 we will be eligible? I've paid for the fees but application won't be sent in by early August.
this is bs news until and unless the IRCC posts an update... I would wait for an official announcement before celebrating...
Citizenship applications are sent to sydney nova scotia as well. If someone got aor, i will take that as a sign that they are atleast working but very slow. Looking at the citizenship tracker, even some of the January applications got AOR in july which is consitent with IRCC sending staff to office after july 6. But who knows if they will look at PR applications
I understand that. My point is that there is some movement overall.
IRCC website has been updated to confirm the OWP extension.
"As of December 22, 2014, open work permits may be issued under a pilot program to applicants who are in the spouse or common-law partner in Canada (SCLPC) class prior to first-stage approval. The pilot program has been extended until the regulatory changes have been completed to permanently implement this policy."

Can anyone make an estimation on when we will hear anything? I wanna say soon because a couple people in march received biometrics requests without receiving an AOR
No one received biometric requests before AOR and nobody received AOR in March, inland or outland, stop spreading false information
That's not true. Two people on the March 2020 Inland Applicants WhatsApp group received a biometric request yesterday with their application number. They were even able to confirm that these numbers starting with an F were actually in the system by using the automated telephone service.
