I thought that due dates are auto-generated and an officer picks up file anytime.

I had a due date for my sponsorship approval earlier this year. Ordered my notes and they did touch the file again on or around my due date. Not sure if it works that way for every step. But either way they would need some reminder to go back a file.

That's interesting, I didn't notice a due date when we ordered our notes. I will have to go back and check. So on or around your due date there was some movement?

Congratulations , did you got medical extension email prior to DM or just got directly dm

they never send me emIl about medical extension but yes they did extend my husbands medical for 6 months to april 30 2021

I ordered gcms notes in end of sept and got them oct 22 and it already had the extension on there.. they actually sent off for the extension in mid sept automatically, i never called them for this. So i guess when they do the monthly checks they look for things that may expire. So anyway they updated the medical i gusss sometime between end of sept and mid october as when i got my gcms notes oct 22 it had already mentioned the extension. I got DM on Oct 27 and my husbands PPR just came yesterday. So pretty quick at the end but we r 17 months into the application as i am June 2019 applicant.

No its mentioned in the gcms notes under the medical section that it is now valid till April 30 2021. GC Key has no mention of medical extension and i never got an email to let me know they were extended. I knew they were expiring but i figured they will send me communication to renew if necessary but with Covid i expected them to make an exception

then no need to worry you are fine. They would have automatically extended without informing. I believe they made this exception due to covid as our files got stuck for 7 months due to the pandemic and it would bw too much for them to monitor thousands of medicals if they had to be redone. Too much paperwork, so they decided to extend if file was in good standing order.

October 24,2019 - Medicals complete and received by IRCC
December 05, 2019 - Application moved to London Visa Office (LDVO)
September 28, 2020 - Additional Document request from LDVO
October 18, 2020 - Additional documents submitted
October 22, 2020 - Pre-arrivals letter received
October 28, 2020 - Status changed to Decision Made on ECAS
October 29, 2020 - Passport request letter received
