Important information for approved permanent residence applicants currently outside Canada

This email is for you if:

  • you are outside of Canada
  • your application for permanent residence (PR) was approved and
  • you have a confirmation of permanent residence (CoPR)
If you are already in Canada, please disregard this message; it does not apply to you. If you are a representative, please inform your clients who fit the above description.

Congratulations again on having been selected to immigrate to Canada. We look forward to welcoming you. Unfortunately, the response to the global pandemic is forcing travel restrictions and delays in plans for many. We want to ensure you are aware of restrictions in place in Canada at this time.

On March 20, 2020, the Government of Canada provided updates on exemptions to travel restrictions in place to stop the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health and safety of Canadians.

Many applicants have noticed a similar thing. Not sure what that means to actual processing time.

I called and they said it’s gone to Amman office so it’s not their hands and Amman send me email saying when they ready they will send medicals so I don’t know.June 14 2020 it will be one year.I don’t know what to do.
That sucks. Maybe try getting in touch with Amman office again. As far as I'm aware, medicals and biometric requests get sent out from Canada. And after everything is complete, they then send it to a local office. Maybe try calling CIC again, and also filing a e-quiry to see what is going on.

You can also ask for GCMS/ATIP notes. This describes in detail about what is going on with your application. Check out the link below on how to do this:

*Confusion regarding...... IMM5669 - Which version to use ?....(11-2018 or 06-2019)....*

Hey guys. I have read a lot about this but it has just confused me and my spouse more and more. So my wife resides OUTSIDE Canada. We are all set to apply but this one confusion is holding usback

Can someone just give me a straight answer to this? Especially the members who almost got through the process - can you let us know which version you guys used?

BIG THANKS!

:)
