Hi ,
Can you plz tell when did you apply . I am June 28 applicant and medical was done on Dec 5 . No updates on application after that.
You will get an update in about a month. Partner did medical November 2 and received a letter saying application complete yesterday. So 2 months later. But we also had a request to send more proof of cohabitation after medical so that delayed another month. So anyway now for you

To me, it sounds like an AIP since it is addressing the Principal Applicant

AIP EMAIL is as follows:

Dear xxxxxx,
This refers to the Application for Permanent Residence you made under the Spouse or
Common-Law Partner in Canada Class.
It has been determined that you meet the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent
residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that
a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent
resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks
for you and, if applicable, all of your family members, both in Canada and abroad, even if they
are not applying to join you in Canada at this time. You cannot become a permanent resident
until you and all your family members have met these requirements.

Hope this helps!

Well I got it done and submitted it upfront as I was in Canada for more than 6 months already. Thats what my representative told me to do to save time later. So I guess that is needed. There are many places you can find in your city where people have offices or personal businesses too. They will do your fingerprints there and a photograph. Carry a valid ID. Its supposed to reach you within 4-5 business days. Mine took 15 as canada post went through on snail’s pace
