Hello friends. Spoke to a cic agent today. They verified few things. Thought could be useful for all of you as well. According to the agent:

  1. There is no acknowledgement of receipt for open work permit
  2. Agent had in writing that it will take approximately 4 months to process spousal owp at this point in time.
So we are looking at early October timeline.

Hope this helps!
Cheers!!

Anyone got their OWP approval yet? Noticed almost everyone was able to link their OWP.

We probarly won't recieve our approvals until early october, you'd be lucky to get it now. I can't even link my owp application which is making me worry to no end :(

My cousin application
•Application received on :June 01,2019
•Did not apply for OWP as he has Post-Grad OWP ‘til 2021
• No Medical Exam Requirement Letter yet
Nothing updated and it’s coming to the 4th month

Anyone here June applicant has same situation?

Looks like so far most June applicants have received their AOR, but that is it. I only see one person who received their OWP so far. I think several of us have been able to link our OWP applications online as well so far. Looks like May applicants are just starting to receive Request for Medical now, so maybe in a months time we will start receiving those as well?
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...BiE67fUmznYQrNhYVWXPXXJBw/edit#gid=1781490796 This is kept pretty up to date I believe. It keeps track of where everyone is with their inland and/or outland applications.

Hey guys it seems like my ecas is stuck on application received? Is this normal ? I only got AOR so far June applicant.

Hello everyone,

I've applied for spouse sponsorship and OWP on June 13th. Have received AOR.
How are the chances of getting OWP approved. Do they reject OWPs?

Yay!! we linked our OWP!

App received: June 19th
AOR: July 27th
CSQ sent: August 17th
OWP linked: Sept.16

Have any of the people who applied for CSQ received news? I know the gov. said they cannot meet the 25 day timeline they set for themselves but they don't say how long it'll be...

Hello all,

I applied for inland spousal sponsorship and OWP and got AOR on June 20, 2019.
However, my application package was just sent back to me because they're saying I didn't include 'proof of payment of the processing fees', which doesn't make sense to me because I included a copy of my payment receipt in my application. This was the receipt I got from CIC when I paid online. This is a non-itemized receipt right?

I paid $1,280 total: $1040 (sponsorship fee, principal applicant processing fee, right of PR fee), $155 (work permit), and $85 (biometrics).

Am I missing something here? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Fee for OWP is $255, including $100 of work permit holder.

Since you got AOR, I think they only returned to you your work permit application because you are missing the 100$ open work permit fee.

Yes, that's right. So would I only need to pay the $100 WP holder fee that's outstanding, get the receipt and resend the application package with the new receipt?
