Thanks! Is there a particular reason as to why June 2019 applicants are being process with such a massive delay? I see Sept’19 onwards applicants already receiving an invite or completing their oath..

Well, its not just June 2019 applicants. Most 2019 applicants who did not complete their oath before Feb/early March 2020 are in the same boat. All are stuck because right at the time when you guys were supposed to get oath invitations, the world went to $h!t .

Hi everyone! I'm new to this thread.

I applied for my citizenship application back on May 31st, 2019 from Mississauga, Ontario (i.e. my application is being processed in the Mississauga office). They received my papers on June 5th, 2019. I received my AOR on August 19th, 2019 indicating that they began to process my application. I was then asked to send in my FP on October 21, 2019 where I did in fact send them the next day and they were received on the following day (i.e. October 22). However, that was the last correspondence I received from the IRCC. I still haven't received a test invite. I'm well aware of the COVID-19 delays but I was just wondering, is this normal? Are other people on the same boat or have most of the June 2019 applicants receive at least a test invite?

Any insight would be highly appreciated and beneficial.

2019 applicants whose did not complete their oath by the first week of March 2020 have been extremely unlucky to say the least. You will likely receive another finger print request because the criminality clearance issued based on the fingerprints you provided before is valid only for 1 year. It would have expired in October 2020.

There are some mid - late 2019 applicants who have received test invitations lately.

If you have never ordered GCMS notes, I would recommend ordering them to see where your application stands.

I hope you get your test invitation soon, wish you all the very best!

Did you try the new application tracker to see any updates on your file after 2019? if not register and access your case online in new tool: https://cst-ssc.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login
Apply for gcms notes to know if we can trace any clues on delay.

Thank you both for the quick and informative reply! I do think that I'm extremely unlucky. Harirajmohan, I did use the new application tracker; the only thing that is completed is the background verification, the rest are in progress but my citizenship ceremony status is "not started". I have never applied for GCMS notes but I'm unaware of how to do so. If either one of you can guide me as to how I can apply for the GCMS notes, I would greatly appreciate it.

Timelines vary greatly between applicants. There is no standard timeline so it nobody can tell you when you'll get your DM. If you have passed the test, expect 3 to 5 months of wait (sometimes more) for your oath invitation. DM will happen somewhere in between.

Okay, but for some people for 2020 applicants its pretty faster they did their test in May 2021 and got their DM and oath date as-well. I am not understanding why this difference for 2019 applicants.

hello my application is in process . i move to brampton from ottawa, should update my address or doing that will make my application to be more longer

Just got Oath invite.
Instructions are pretty ambiguous. In one place it says you have to print a physical copy of the Oath and sign it before the official.
In the other it says you can do electronic signature.
It's a PITA to find a printer. Did anyone had luck with just the electronic sig?
