Is interview a mandatory step for every applicant after passing the test?

There are reports of some have their ECAS status updated to DM without an interview including me.

We don't know the specifics behind it however there is a status appearing on the recent report from IRCC where applicants are exempted from the interview.

I have a friend who has recently received a test invitation, but before her spouse completes the test (she completed), they received the interview invitation which is scheduled right after the deadline of their test. The office is Hamilton.

Do you mind sharing the date of the interview was scheduled for?
I'd like to understand how much time is available to get the passport stamps translated (if needed / if requested).

Just send what was asked.
My thinking: They wanted adults' because the physical presence is tied to the eligibility but not minors' hence they want to verify mainly the adults' entry to Canada (and other countries).

Received invitation for Interview on 1st May 2021. I was requested to send a consent form to attend online interview through Microsoft teams along with Scan copy of my travel documents in the past.

I am supposed to send these forms/documents to the Email Id mentioned in the communication.

Since we are sending it by Email I am curious how will they track the response. do we get any acknowledgement/autoreply for our submitted documents?

Anyone having prior experience please advice.

Just reply to the same email sent to you, it has the initials of the officer who is responsible for your application.

June 2019 Applicant,First FP Oct 2019,Citizen test Jan 2020,Second FP April 2021,sent webform to enquire if they received FP and they sent reply saying YES.

Status changed to DM from 05/05/2021.

waiting now for Oath-Edmonton office.

My wife and I finally gone through an interview last week, on ECAS now, it has been showing Decision Made for both of us.
However, all of minor children status is still showing as "in Process".
I don't know how much time will it further take for Oath, Do i need to call them again?
I would appreciate if anyone has some thought on this.

My case is matching to your case. We are June 2019 applicant from Mississauga, ON. Me and my wife both received online test request on Dec 11, 2020 and we completed it on Dec 25th. After 2 weeks ECAS status was changed to Decision Made for both of us and we were feeling happy as we were at final step. However our kids status still showed in-progress. We have been waiting for interview or oath from last 4 months. On May 5th my wife received FP request and she submitted FP on May 5th itself. Surprisingly, her ECAS status is changed from Decision Made to In-progress. Has this happen to anyone else?

Asked coloured scan of passport and travel documents , test done on march 28th

Yes it was.
Got second FP due to background check and then now its DM status.

AOR: August 30, 2019
In process: October 19, 2019
First test date: December 19, 2019 (had to reschedule)
Second text invite (online): January 27, 2021
Test eligibility: Jan 29, 2021 - Feb 18, 2021
Test date: January 29, 2021 (passed 18/20), awaiting formal notice.

I have some progress on my application:

Microsoft Teams link for interview: April 26, 2021
Interview invitation letter: April 28, 2021
Interview date: May 06, 2021
Everything is complete in the new application status except the citizenship ceremony, which says "non started". The ECAS status changed to DM today.
