Hi friend i received my cetizenahip certificate yesterday . Now need to apply for passport .do i need appointment or by mail ,what is the best ?
Congratulations!

For non urgent service (more than 30 days) the passport program is accepting applications ONLY by mail.

For urgent and emergency service (less than 30 days) the passport program is providing appointments based on proof that you need a passport within that time frame.

For further details you can check the official website below:

They didn’t mention any specifics about envelopes. I’m in the same situation. I sent my application via Purolator in a regular envelope

Hello Guys,

I needed some clarification. I am confused whether we need to send original Canadian citizenship certificate with the passport application or can I send copies signed by the gurantor for ID and proof of Canadian citizenship? Can someone pls clarify?
