June 2019 citizenship applicants

Hi,

I am planning to send my citizenship application by the end of this month.

One quick question, my current passport expired last month and I don't have any plan to renew it for the time being, will this cause any issue with the application?

I believe you need to have a valid passport (unexpired) to apply. Please check following link for more details.

You don't need a current passport to apply. In question 14 table A, you have to list all the passports you held during the 5 years eligibility period. In the same question table B, you have to explain why you didn't renew your passport and any gaps between your other passports where you didn't renew.

You can't use an expired passport as an ID so you will need to get another ID e.g. drivers license and health card

Depends on the admin, I think I got it the same day or next day.
