From my personal experience, I don't think one's travel history has any impact on the processing time unless there some travel to countries that are flagged for alerts. I have traveled more than 10 countries plus have had 2 schengen visa refusals which I obviously did state on my application. Despite all of this, I received PPR in 4 months.

So if someone here is worrying about any of this, please don't :)

Hi All,

I have been following this forum for a while and finally decided to make a contribution.

My timeline is as follows:

FSW-O (I am from LIthuania but live in the UK with extensive travel history)
AOR: June 24
MEP: July 29
BIL: August 16
PPR: October 31

Visa Office: Not sure as I never called and my GCMS notes are weeks away (ordered October 10) but I have to submit my Photos to London, UK so I'm guessing that's my VO.

I did have a Ghost Update on the 31st of July (Received email saying my profile has been updated but upon login, nothing had changed). I believe I also had one today (no email other than PPR) but upon login the status of my application said "Updated" but nothing had actually changed.

One thing that I thought may affect the timeline of my application was the fact that I applied from the UK but submitted by Biometrics in Vietnam as I was travelling there at the time. Really pleased that it didn't and AOR to PPR took just over 4 months.

I am no expert in this field but if you have any questions, please drop me a line or something and I will try to answer as best as I can.

Regards

Sarunas
Hiii, congratulations!!!!

Hello Everyone, can someone please help with the below-

AOR- May 19, no updates after MEP since June 27

Applied for *TRV* (inside Canada) - Oct 22, no updates so far.

I have already booked tickets for Nov 24, what should I do? Need suggestions. I have my exams for masters from Dec 3 in India.
Should i submit proof of tickets, and other stuff? Will that expedite the process?

Hi

Are you able to provide further detail? It’s pretty hard to tell what the goal for this inquiry is.

Hi @Arun Joeph

You’re not alone in your wait. I’m a June 7er. There are Feb AORs who haven’t gotten AOR yet. Just to give you perspective.

As to what we have to do...
1. Try to prepare for landing in Canada - seniors have posted about their experiences whether it was a landing interview for inland applicants or origin to exit process for outland applicants. This forum is very helpful and what you need is just a search away.

2. Try to do advance research on possible career/temp job options - It’s not to sound pessimistic but we can’t come in feeling entitled. It’s possible we won’t land jobs as fancy as what we’ve got where we’re from. Some will be lucky, some won’t be. So yeah, just do your research and probably up your chances.

Whether these will distract you from the wait or fuel your excitement, probably best to manage expectations as well. :)

Good luck!
