What you did is correct. If you don't have any dependants, you were supposed to write "1". The GCKey requires that you include the sponsor in the count for some reason, however.

Did they change the mailing address? Like I remember clearly in June when I applied outside Canada applications were needed to be sent to Mississauga,but now I see the guide says to send to Sydney directly! I'm worried now!

When did you send it to Mississauga-CPC? They changed the address in the beginning of June but they were giving a grace period for applicants who still sent it to the old address. I'm not exactly sure how long the grace period was but I know that they forwarded some applications to Sydney themselves. I'm afraid that they can also send it back to the sender however. It's really up to the officer's discretion.

What if they send it back after getting aor like empress1? Could that be the reason? Why would they change address without any notice or announcement! Preparing sponsorship application takes a very long time and we can't fill up forms the day we submit it! My husband had to sign all forms and mail to me, evetytheve was done in May then I submitted in June!

Meh. I would bet against it being returned because whatever happened in his/her case is not usual at all. We're not even exactly sure if Empress received an AOR or something else from IRCC. Even if it is, we don't know what the cause of it is.

I wouldn't worry about it, but if you want, you can call IRCC on Monday to check with them.

They also changed the form imm0008 in June, that for 100% I used old form. Because my husband mailed it to me in May! This is so frustrating

I sent my application to Sydney, NS as the Checklist had changed on the day I was about to send my application. Hope it is processed there sooner than Mississauga. By the way, My local visa office will be New Delhi.

When did you sent your application? Did you also change imm0008 form and used the revised checklist? Did you send it to Mississauga or nova Scotia? What's the status now? I sent io June 11 but I used old forms and sent to Mississauga

Don't feel too bad. I've seen cases where applications have been returned several times due to various reasons and they still got their COPR eventually. Just give it another shot. Look at the bright side! You'll be able to fix the issue and add more proofs if you'd like. You never know, maybe you'll get your application approved faster even with this happening.

It says this is to confirm that your application to sponsor someone in the family class has been received and so on then it state my husband name. At the top it give a file number start with F and UCI number. Could the agent possible notice after that something was missing or outdated?
