Hi Guys,
got a question. I am a PR and am sponsoring my wife (june 7th applicant) . The PR is in progress as of now. Being the sponsor, can i travel outside canada for a short duration.. say like 3 weeks? Will this have any impact on my sponsorship application?

A lot of people here are saying that it's risky, but I don't think that 3 weeks is that long. The IRCC agent I talked to said that everyone is entitled to take 2 weeks of vacation every year, and shouldn't affect our application if that time is spent outside. I'll be away for longer due to work, so I got a hold of my employer's supporting letter for it.
It's up to you and how much risk you're willing to take, but I would wait until, at least, you get approved as a sponsor before traveling outside Canada.

I called them hundred times,simply saying still not received you have to wait. I have a document from the carrier (TNT) that they received my application.Now am outside Canada.
It's been 3 years for you. I got mine received by them in 1 day.
If you're serious, contact the MP from where you were here in Canada or send IRCC a copy of that courier receipt. I get that mails can get lost during transit, but if it's still not there after 3 years, I don't know what else to tell you.
Not to give you negative thinking. But if it's been 3 years, I would assume the application is lost and you should prepare to apply again.

Hi ate! I haven't seen much updates from any of the trackers that I follow, unfortunately.
Nope, apploapplic received June 11, aor 1 July 5, decision made for sponsor July 13, but no SA yet, I called yesterday the said sponsorship is approved I should be getting email soon. But even though the PA application shows "in process" cic has no updates for that
How do I link application online? I am the sponsor and I only have the application number when I received AOR1. The application number is same for both sponsor and PA?
The UCI mentioned in the email was my UCI which I got when I applied for Canada. My husband hasn't got his UCI yet, I tried to link his application online today, it shows application not found even though I can check the status on ecas. I tried with different information still can't find it.
The online account I created in gckey doesn't really ask for email verification or anything, I was just wondering am I doing it wrong? I created a gckey account for my husband, provided his email address, but he didn't receive any verification email, but I can login to the account I created, then I tried to link his application online but it shows error.
Can anyone help me understanding where I am doing it wrong?

Thanks for the info! We should be getting SA emails next week, hopefully.
I think CIC will update PA's "in process" status once they transfer the file to the local VO.
