With all due respect, CIC will never call you. They will return your application so people, if you get a phone call, opt to use the mail and add an explanation letter. DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE.

MY SON HAD THE SAME ERROR ON HIS APPLICATION AND THEY TURNED IT BACK.

Sorry for the delay in updating. I was expecting an email but apparently they didn't send one out. It was only updated when I checked cic.

That is normal, they do not send out emails when the application goes "in process", we need to check ECAS for that.

Sometimes, CIC is inconsistent. You were unlucky, unfortunately.

Yes they can call you for this reason i have seen that before and if you reply right away your file may move to in process...to save your time they can do it...good luck
