Folks, how much time do we get to complete the landing procedure? In other words, what will be the validity of the visa issued? I am assuming it is not advisable to travel when you're midway between landing and PR card.

You can travel between landing & PR card, but it's a lot of hassle (you need a PR travel document, or you need to arrive at a land border, so I wouldn't do it. Validity of the COPR (so time before you land) should be in your COPR letter, and, as far as I know, is based on the date of your medical test.

All of you who are planning to send passports to CIC, just know that Canada Post is all screwed up. I sent passports on 28th with the delivery date as 30th. It then changed to 3rd, then 4th, then 5th and now 6th. I have made the blunder of using Canada post. Before you make the same mistake, think again.

I think CEC have to send with Canada Post (or at least have the return envelope be from Canadapost

Some people get the PPR emails from CPC Ottawa email ID so their email states this ID (that you also mentioned in your comment). But the current batch is from CIO BRCD one and this it states a different email. But, I’m really not sure as to which gives quick response

Update on this, I raised a CSE and emailed CPC Ottawa. Ottawa responded and said they are not the office that processed my file. CSE said they verified my information and have sent my request to the "responsible office." Hopefully I receive a response in time.

Additionally I emailed the CIO email indicated but no response.

I sent mine on 1st Dec and the tracking report still shows Ready for delivery with date as 4th Dec; it is still in ON for pickup....

I am not sure when i will get my passports back if it is delayed indefinitely

No updates yet. My return tracker says delivery may be delayed due to labor disruption, and has no additional information. Can't conclude whether they have dispatched or not. No updates online as well.
