no two applications are same... and no two officers are same.. no two people are same... best solution.. worrying won't help you.. what is to be done and what is officer is about to do.. you have no control over it...

While I understand people worrying, everyone is losing their heads when their application hasn't made any "progress" within 2 weeks. Note that 80% is being handled within 6 months, and the people who applied in June and have their PPR already are lucky bastards 
. 13% of the June applications have received PPR (based on immitracker), and 27% for May. For April it's not even 50% (but maybe people forgetting they have a immitracker case by then ). In other words, it's "standard" that we don't have the PPR yet, and you're lucky if you do. Also, as Sid1987 said, no cases are the same...
I also check my account daily, but don't worry over it since there's not much we can, so why worry.

Just called IRCC and talked to an agent. She said that my application is "Recommended Pass" by the analyst. Background check has not started yet. And my visa office is "Ottawa".

If its a recommended pass from the analyst, are there high chances of rejection by the case officer? Also, is Ottawa a faster VO compared to others?

if your case is recommended passed and is in ottawa expect ppr in the next couple weeks unless you are chosen for security screening.
nope u cannot... only way os add +67 before you dial number... it hides your id.. but again its a hit or miss... try Skype or google call
the case is recommendedmnede pass.. and BTW Ottawa is also normal processing office as well , part from issue PPR... I guess you guys know that right... so it can be anything.., no false hopes.. but 99% cases recommended pass becomes pass... so don worry.. next phase os security check which can take time
Oh I see. I thought it's gonna be quick- I only had been in my home country (provided PCC) and Canada. So one month is well within the timeline
@navinball : ottawa are slow nowadays.... I met one official.. its something relate infra and process... new boss moving in soon
