Sorry for jumping in the middle of all this but I guess since I’ve been a mod in other forums it kinda sticks with me. I’d strongly advice against any political / religious discussions, first of all, I don’t think this is the place to do so since it’s an immigration forum, and second, I feel this might be the most diverse place regarding cultures in the whole internet and for some people it’s kind of a sensitive topic. Everything is great as long as we assume everyone has their own beliefs and respect each other that way, but I would refrain from actually discussing it for the sake of not going into heavy arguments. We love each other so far, let’s just let the ball roll and get PPR still within sanity :)
I am sorry for the part I played in this discussion. I will retract all my posts related to this discussion.
I dont think a sorry was required, as nothing specific or derogatory to anyone or anything was said or pertained. It was just a discussion which took an unprecedented turn which was handled in right manner. But although, saying sorry every now and then is a sign of adaptation of Canadian culture. Good progress on that front bro. :D:D

You can download the receipt online on CIC account I guess. Just login and see if you can find a link to do so.

Does it?

How? Can you explain? I am sorry I am still lost.

How can a batch of applications be kept on hold while others keep running? Are we inferring people submitting applications between specific dates have some issue with their history? o_O
i think its not batch. They simply held back on some approved cases probably to skim through those again. It could very well be system glitch or something totally differently. But I am assuming this could be one of many reason why the process is slow now.

As the news mentioned there were department change and all. moreover if I rely on myimmitracker data - it suggests that the process definitely got slowed. July applicants are at 60%-ish.

It is also mentioned "I don't believe this is the only case. I think that this is probably more common than we believe, and it comes down to process, it comes down to organizational structure and it comes down to investment in officers. So, it's concerning."

I would hazard a guess, they are doing some thorough checks now, maybe they were even skimming through approved applications as well.

They have let in a person of national security concern and speculating that there are more such cases, this is actually a pretty big issue.

What I could make out of the news buddy, is people or set of people, whose security was complete or about to complete on the day we all were moved got approved/completed with a ghost and got PPRs after some delay, like the NDVO ones.. What seem to happened with our files is, either the staff went for that training, or the training made them do more scrutiny or may have added more steps for security to be said complete... Though not sure why its moving for others....

I saved my receipt when I paid. If you can't find the receipt then take a screenshot of the portal where it says you paid the application fee and RPRF and attach that screenshot.
For the address, give the address of any friend or relative you have. It's probably for your PR card.
Congrats again!

I see. Still we have no justification for 'security not started' cases. :(
