No. You cannot do upfront medicals anymore under the new application.

Once you get AOR you will get the subsequent requests for Police Check, Schedule A and Medical Request. The medical request will have attached special documentation from CIC to bring to the panel approved physician. The panel approved physician will send your medical results along with this paperwork once you've done the exam, 30 days within the day they originally request.

I understand why you wanted to plan ahead, but I would NOT deviate from this process. It could cause delays and problems with your application. :D Good luck!
Thank you so much for your clear explaination .

So I got my Schedule A and PCC request yesterday, however I was unable to upload the documents on my GCKey account. I checked today and its the same. But that's fine. I'm not worried about it at all since I have time. I will wait for one entire week to be able to upload the documents on my account. If that problem still exits after a week then I've decided to just go ahead and upload them through the IRCC webform since I know many people have successfully used the webform.

So my question is, is it advisable to submit the Schedule A and PCC through both the webform and mailing it to CIC? Is the double submission a good safe option or do you think it will create confusion and hence is an unwise move?

i got sch a and pcc request today, along with uploading 15-20 pictures of our ceremony. i did send them all that, along with passport size pictures of my hubby - all in one envelope sealed. Were they unable to open the sealed envelope? it was sealed using an ordinary scotch tape .. ughhhh!!

so now they want one file uploaded with all pictures. can i upload a zip file? i dont even know how to proceed. should i call and verify?

i am not panicking but just really frustrated!!!!

I am of the opinion that it will cause confusion. Double submission through different portals is not a good idea in my mind.

We mailed ours and had no issues. We mailed Schedule A, Medical, Police, all with tracking. Had no problems. Within days of signing for Schedule A they added it to our application and in a matter of weeks got VO transfer.

Thanks for the quick response. Yah that makes sense. Better to just stick to one.

Read the Schedule A & PCC request letter. It specifically says that Schedule A forms that are submitted via webform or mail have to be signed by hand. I know the letter is 5 pages long but one should always read all the of the emails/ letters we get from CIC.

Hi everyone. I know this is a month late, but my husband sent in our Application on June 19th and it was received by R. Mahmood on June 20th. We have not heard anything else since then. It is really nice to see others who are going through the same process as me.

My question is, what does AOR1 stand for?

congrats for getting schedule A and PCC request. Are you able to see any link in myCIC to upload docs? Regarding the photos, do you have separate link to upload that too? I'm still waiting for any email regarding PCC and schedule A requests....

In your sealed envelope you said that you had pictures of your wedding ceremony AND your husband's passport size photo, but CIC only requested for 15-20 pictures of the ceremony and not your husband's pp photo. That probably means that the envelope wasn't lost and that they were able to open the scotch tape sealed envelope. Otherwise they would have definitely asked for your husband's pp photo as well. They probably just wanted more proof of the relationship. If I were you I would make sure that these new photos are different from the 20 photos you submitted with the initial application in order to solidify the legitimacy of the relationship.

Hi All,

My application did reach CIC on June 1st. Haven't heard back till then, no news on AOR.
is it normal or we need to start following up with cic.
It was a paper based application.

AOR means Acknowledgement of Receipt. AOR1 basically indicates that your application is complete and that now they will start working on your application.
