I wouldn't trust them much:))
The most important thing is the request for a passport ;)

Hmm, I haven't heard that they'd make a mistake for the passport request. The only thing I've heard is they make email mistakes for interviews.
Don't worry too much, usually when they make mistakes, they email you the next day or in 2-3 days, if not then it's correct:)

He just arrived yesterday (after 18 hours of travelling) to start his new job, now he has to tell them he has to leave (to come back here and get the visa in the passport) and hopefully they will want him back until we come back from Canada (end of January). So it better not be a mistake, lol. He hasn't worked since May 2015, so finally going away for work was a really good thing and the timing was not good, lol.

Can he wait for 2-3 days and not tell them? So you can make sure it wasn't a mistake (which I really think is NOT a mistake).
You're staying with him in Cairo? Aww, I haven't seen my hubby for almost 6 months :(((

Yah I've been here for 5 years :/ and I've gone back home for a few breaks from the nastiness of Egypt, lol (pretty much go back for 3 months each year, usually in the summer because it gets way too hot here for me).

He really can't wait to tell him, as he should be going to the middle of the ocean to an offshore rig soon, it will be much less of a hassle to do it now rather than later.

It sucks that he has not even able to get him to visit/meet my family (and that's not really a bad thing since I definitely have a strange family, lol, now he will really know, lol)

I saw that someone in August's thread (also from your VO) got their PPR as well?? So maybe there was a mass mistake?? That's even quick for US applicants (I assume it is, since it's less than 2 months).

Uff I see, it's not an easy situation for your hubby in terms of work. BUT on the bright side he got the passport request, so if it is indeed true, then you shouldn't worry. Although, I understand you, it's very hard not to worry. Just do what you feel is right and everything will fall into place. Have faith and everything will be even better than you planned:)

Yes, I saw that and I was extremely surprised! Ankara usually takes at least 5-6 months to process everything, but of course each case is different. It really does depend on the officer that works on your file, and criminal check usually takes a few months, so I really don't know what to expect, I guess it's just luck.

Hi,
I applied in 30/6/2016 to Sponsor my wife, I got an email requesting a proof of intent to return to Canada, Police clearance, 2 photos and Passport.

regarding intent to return to Canada, I provided the following:
1. Opened bank account
2. Show that I have enough money to live with my family for one year
3. flat, jobs, medical insurance, shipping searches and communication
4. My B.Sc. degree accredited by WES (World Education Services)
5. My plan till travel
6. My plan after reaching Canada
7. Why I want to go to Canada

Do you thinks this is enough?
Is the request of photos and passport is a good sign?

Thanks

I think you have provided a very reasonable amount of proof. And yes, passport request is a very good sign.
Which VO are you?

Thank you,

I hope they accept my proofs of intent to re-settle in Canada and it will not be an issue for me, since we don't have any relatives or friends in Canada and I don't have a job offer.

Yes, they requested in one email:
1. Proof of intent to return to Canada
2. Police clearance
3. Two photos
4. Passport.
