do you have MyCIC? where did you receive the AOR2? from PA email or from MyCIC Inbox?

It came to PA email. So far I haven't gotten any updates in MyCIC inbox.
I used MyCIC before for Working Holiday application and got a message every time there was an update on my case, but with family application it seems like you need to constantly check it manually to see if there's anything new.

Hey! So, an update on our personal case - my sponsor phoned the CIC (after many attempts, and not being able to get through) today (22-Aug-2016), and was advised that he was approved as a sponsor on the 15-Aug-2016. I'm not 100% sure where exactly our VO will be (not sure if it's Ottawa or Sydney, because i'm not sure that he asked).

So, i'm hoping the AOR2 will come to me (the PA), and will advise us of where this is being sent.

A note when we called - they confirmed that there was no record of anything being sent, so i'd encourage you to call the CIC to find out!

As I've stated on this thread a few times now, they send SA correspondence in batches.

Meaning, a sponsor could be approved and file transferred to overseas VO well before the sponsor receives the correspondence that they have been approved.

I recommend calling once the posted times have passed.

When I applied, the posted time was 39 days. I called on day 40 to enquire about the status and was told positive decision was made the day before.

I then got correspondence confirming that later, and in my GCMS notes there is a note entered by the officer saying correspondence was sent to SPR via batch email.

Hi! Congrats! What a relief! Lol (atleast for the first stage)

I will call them tomorrow morning. Hopefully they can give me a better answer. I haven't seen any movement since PA side on Ecas turned to "in process," which was last Friday. I was hoping to hear something today!

They said letter is ready however they are not aware about the decision made and we ll recv the letter soon.
Bite worried after hearing the response as many got to know about SA decision in the phone call itself

If PA is in process SA has been granted.

Some agents won't release info over the phone.

I don't have an update on Ecas either. SA side says in process and PA side still shows received. I am going to try yet again to link my app on MyCIC later today. Maybe now that SA has been approved and they are transferring my app, it will find it.

regardless SA you should be able to link your application. my mistake was while logging in there is a question asking howmany people are in this application I said 1..but answer is 2(sponsor and applicant). then I was able to link my application to My CIC account. so probnbaly one of your answers is not correct.
