Congratulations to those of you who have seen movement today.

The only correspondence that I received today was an automated letter regarding not being able to link my app to MyCIC. I will check snail mail later and probably call them again on Monday.

Oh, and I still can't link. lol

I called cic today regarding correspondence which was sent on 5th August and I haven't received yet. Agent told me that my application got updated yesterday and last message was Sponsorship is approved and I will be getting email in few days. Before calling them I looked at the application status on cic and found that Primary application eligibility status was changed to review in progress which is sign that it is approved because that's what I heard from many people on this blog. Happy that there was not any issue with the application.

I would suggest you to call them and you might have some good news too. Wish you all the best.

Just received a email from Delhi Immigration for my File being received by them. In the email it asks for few documents which I sent it with my application before.

In order to expedite the processing of your application, we are requesting that you provide the following as soon as possible:
• Proof of payment of your Right of Permanent Resident Fee (landing fee) to our office in Mississauga or by your sponsor in Canada, if not already paid. Note: dependent children are not required to pay the Right of Permanent Resident Fee.
• Submission of police clearance certificates for you and all dependent family members who are 18 years or older, for time spent in any country for a period of 6 months or more, if not already submitted. Note: If you or your family members were under 18 years of age (16 years of age in certain jurisdictions) for the entire time you lived in a particular country, you do not need to provide a police certificate for that country.


Do I need to send these documents again. Some one told me that it is a system generated message which they sent it to everybody.

It is a system generated message. You only need to send those documents if you haven't already. No worries.

PA side on ECAS went "in process". Hopefully that means SA. Been waiting for so long now. 65+ days

Call CIC, they will confirm you. It happend to me as well in the similar way. I got confirmed.

I actually called them in the morning today. And they said they would put In an enquiry for me. Now the weekend has started so I will have to wait till Monday.

I just asked the agent to update me on what's the last status/note on my application. She refused to update me, as the Timeline is 54 days and I will complete 54 days by Sunday 21st August, She asked me to wait till Tuesday 23rd August.

I insisted and did some drama. She then checked and updated me that . SA is approved and file has been transferred outside Canada.

I feel this country is person specific, some are flexible and some strictly follow the rules.

Try your luck again on Monday. All the Best.

Yeah it's really hard to get information out of them. I basically just asked them to give me an update on what's going on with my application as it was past the stated time. The agent was really nice but just said the application is still under process for sponsor approval and she will put in an enquiry as its been over the time Lol. But thank you!! Hopefully I will hear some good news on Monday.

I have been experiencing this system for the past 7 years. Most of the times I appreciate and few times frustrated with this process.

I asked my hubby if he's received any emails but said he hasn't.
Checked eCAS last night and it said that they have received medical results but the status was still "Äpplication Received."
Today, I checked eCAS and again and the Permanent Residence Application status now shows "In Progress." ;D

I hope someone can help me understand what is happening when this is what is reflected. Thanks!

Interesting - this morning I logged into ECAS and both sides, Sponsor + PA shows In Process. Hoping this means SA (please let it be so and we get the mail or email fairly soon confirming it.... Any experience others would like to share who saw that change on ECAS, relative to when they got SA email/mail.

I did have medicals received updated Friday, 19th Aug morning (on PA side) but it still had "Application Received Status". I have to say ECAS has worked pretty well for me so far!

Can't say the same for My CIC, have tried every permutation several times and been locked out each time, I GIVE UP!! It is one hell of a frustrating tool. I'll only give it a shot if I get AOR 2, doubt SA email will be much help to log in. Good luck all!
