Just curious what if you lost your job while the sponsorship stage 1 is still in process.would that affect the application in case the officer call the company for job verification?

I do not think so, the sponsor has to sign anyway the doc to be responsible of the PA $. And the company normally tells that the person no longer works there "since XX/XX". So, I assume, they will understand there was not a lie, that at the moment the Sponsor sent the application, he/she had a job...
That is only my personal opinion

Visiting http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/e-services/account.asp the PA should be able to link the application and see the status of the process.

Hi all,

Fairly new to the forum. I'm American, have two BS degrees (one in computer science) and an MBA. I have a clean background with no criminal history. My wife in B.C. and I submitted our application in July. Some questions I had were:

1) Approximately how long does it take from when we see on Canada Post tracking that our spousal application was received by the CPC in Mississauga to when we receive an Acknowledgement Letter of receipt by the CPC?

2) Can someone help me understand the different phases that are listed in some of the Google sheets that have been setup please? (For some reason, I'm not allowed to post url's on this site) I don't understand why I'm seeing dates for STAGE 2 AOR that are earlier than AOR Received. To me, that doesn't make since. Shouldn't AOR Received occur before Stage 2 AOR?

If someone can explain to me the different phases for each of the columns (in the Google sheet) or point me to a link that explains it, I'd greatly appreciate it.

I have received AOR 1 , where it shows my UCI . I am the sponsor .

1. If you applied outland, roughly 20 days.

2. You need to have a certain amount of posts to be able to post links. I can't remember but it's 10 to create a profile/timeline and I believe 20 to post links.

I don't use the spreadsheets, but taking a quick look at the JUNE sheet, I see STAGE 2 AOR dates well after STAGE 1 AOR dates. AOR1 goes to the sponsor, then SA, file transfer and AOR2 after.

ImABule - Thanks.. I was finally able to read the sheets correctly. The first row isn't actually column headers.. instead there status/progress codes. It's the second row that is the column header which makes more sense. I saw one column with the first row being Stage 2 AOR but the second row showed 'Medical Date'. So an earlier Medical date prior to AOR Received makes way much more sense.

hi guys I need help.
I'm just a little bit confuse with my AOR 2 email.
this is what it says: |

2. Valid police certificates from all countries where you and any family member age 18 and over have resided for 6 months or more. Police certificates which are not in English or French must be accompanied by a certified translation. For country-specific instructions, go to website...
To ensure the timely processing of your application, the required information/documents must be provided to us within THIRTY (30) days of the date of this letter.

My husband had a 2 years contract in Saudi Arabia, which he finished. I also sent his work certificate of being a good worker from the company he worked at with the whole applications.

I checked the website( CIC.GC.CA) on how to get a police clearance from Saudi Arabia if he doesn't live there anymore and this is what it says;

If you do not have current legal residence status in Saudi Arabia, you are not required to provide a Saudi Arabian police certificate. If you are asked for a police certificate from Saudi Arabia, write: “I cannot provide a police certificate for the time I spent in Saudi Arabia because certificates are only available to people who have current legal residence status.”

Should I just ignore what my AOR2 email is asking and assumed that manila office knows that I cannot provide police certificate if he doesn't live there anymore?

sorry another question . I am trying to create the account now, should I include my first and last name? or PA's?
