does anyone know's how long it takes to get a ppr after getting in progress back ground check?
i've bin in bc check for over 2 months now... is that weird?

Not yet for June...so far, early and mid May applicants getting processed along with applicants from first half of 2016 and some from 2015.

I doubt June applicants will hear before January -- It's pretty sporadic the way NDVO works but hoping they pick up the pace before they break for Xmas-NY holidays.

NDVO seems to be slower than other VO, though hope for goodnews for we June applicants till New Year...Lets pray for all..

It boggles the mind how they work in fits and starts!

The new process for applicants begins 7th Dec and it will be interesting to see if they jump the line and deal with those applications first rather than ones like us who applied in June onwards or what will be considered the backlog! I honestly hope not!

What I cannot understand is how other VO's have sped up even with longer processing times historically, and NDVO is still working at haphazard speeds! Some days we see a slew of BGs, DMs and BGs and then there is no news for days...before they start up again! *smh*

Just wanted to stop in and share the good news..I'm officially landed! The process was extremely easy, which was nice given that we drove from Fort McMurray Alberta down to Denver Colorado and back (in wintry conditions!) to retrieve my belongings. The driving was not easy, but I have an amazing husband who took it in stride.

This forum was a wonderful source of information, affirmation, and entertainment throughout. Thank you!

The wait is finally over after just under 5months.God is wonderful. It is a big testimony in my life!

I am Nigerian student in Canada, hoping to graduate next year.

I submitted application for sponsorship June 28th

Submitted PCC in September 22nd upon request. BG changed to In Process. then , BG on MY CIC changed to Not needed at this time.

On Dec 6th BG changed to In Progress

On Dec 7, My Ecas changed to DM. and on DEC 15th 2016, I received an email 2hours ago to submit passport.

My visa office is Ottawa. (It is a shocked to have Ottawa has visa office being a Nigerian) God is great!

My passport is on the way to Ottawa-PR office.

I have been following this forum since 2008. It is always full of beneficial information and educative.

Kudos to all the administrators and the brain behind its creation.

My wish and prayers for all that are still waiting, keep praying, hopeful, be positive and never give up. You shall all receive positive news by God grace.

This forum is a global family place.

Love you all even though we have never met or seen, but we can feel for one another virtually.

I received email from the VISA Office in Bucharest , requesting to email them my wife passport copy that she will use when she entering canada valid for 12 months , her eye color and her height in CMS

What that mean????
