June 2015 - Outland applications

Hi all. After spending some time on the forums this morning and checking ECAS I decided to check my email one last time and saw an email from ADVO. It said they were ready to issue the travel documents and wanted my husband's original passport plus two photos! I couldn't believe it. Despite the changes to the posted processing times I think the offices are trying to move as quickly as they can.

I'm so happy!! That is good news. Happy for you...

Hi shward, I wouldn't worry too much about what eCAS says. When my husband got approved as a sponsor we got a letter in the mail but eCAS never updated it. The status of my PR application is Decision Made but sponsor application still says In Process.

Random update, I decided to check eCAS for old time's sake. The sponsor application still says 'In Process" but my permanent residence application status now says 'Complete' and has a 4th line that says "XXXX entered Canada at Calgary on January 5, 2016 and became a Permanent Resident." ;D

I'm also waiting for my security check, when did they start your security check according to your notes? Mine were started on 13 November and I'm still waiting. So frustrating

Mine didn't have a started date But it had a "Due date" of August 31. The Application Assignment also had a "Due date" of December 15 2015 so when we didn't hear from CIC by the 16th, we requested for gcms notes again. We'll receive it on the 17th of January hopefully and I hope too that it'll tell us more on what's been happening on our file.

I just requested my notes. How long did it take to get yours? I hope it doesn't take the 30-60 days people are saying it's going to

In my case, it took 30 days on the dot

Congratulations!!! Great news...wow...I think despite the times being posted that they are trying to move as fast as possible. Wish you all the best in Canada!

Wonderful news!!! Congratulations. I think they are trying to process applications as quickly as possible...so happy for the change in government...and the fact that people can make this change makes Canada a great place!!
