Yes

AOR + SA = 55 or 57 days

Will we be notified of SA through email or actual letter?

That depends on if you requested "email" on your application. If you got your AOR by email then your SA will be by email also, and vise-versa.

Cheers! Guess I'll be getting everything by email :)

As a sponsor if you have a UCI# from before (if you were ever a PR), you can always check ECAS even before you get SA.

It took 1.5 weeks to receive letter of SA after I got SA.

What if your sponsor has a UCI number but it was not provided on the form that we sent. Will they still know what her UCI number is?

Thanks

So I got my AOR on July 20th and that's the day they started processing my app, outland (Recieved June 17). Still don't got *censored word* on how to add this to my profile or the spreadsheet. Oh well.

To add your info to the 2015 Outland spreadsheet - go to https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FAYZyQgud1lzp7fM28i2O8ZrfbMAxdTc_t7_fiwI6ak/edit#gid=658388151 and scroll down to the bottom. You will see a note and a list of names. In this section, you can add your own details (around line 253 at the moment). The spreadsheet owner reviews the sheet from time to time and moves entries to the top section. In this spreadsheet, you can click on the filter (the funnel button) and select one of the pre-made views (i.e. by month or by visa office) or you can click on "Create temporary filter (when you highlight the column headers row) and then go from there.

To update your forum profile timeline go to the Profile tab (upper right), click on Modify Profile (which is in the box on the left side), then Click on "Forum Profile Information". On that page, you will be able to fill in the fields that are applicable (suggest you leave the non applicable ones blank instead of putting N/A) (NOTE - you need at least 10 posts to be able to access this feature)

Hope this helps :)

Yes they do.

My application was received by CIC on June 22nd (via third party courier notification)...but I still haven't received AOR from CIC. Beginning to get really worried :(

Not everyone receives AOR. CIC received my application on June 1st according to Canada Post and I never received an AOR.

I did not receive notification of AOR either, had to find out though call center after I did not receive any email nor mail.

When we get AOR does it mean they will start working on it soon? Or that just means it's been thrown on the pile or applications and waiting for processing?

Theory is that AOR consists of a completeness check. They will look over the app for everything that should be included (payment, all necessary forms), and then it get put into another pile to wait for someone to do Sponsor Assessment and Approval.

Ok, that's something! At least now I have peace of mind knowing they will not send the application back. Luckily I caught the updated April 1st form and redid that before sending in :P

One more question, when you go to check the application status online, I fill in the application# and then it asks for surname and date of birth. Is that Mine or my wife's? She is the one being sponsored to Canada and I'm canadian citizen. Thanks!
