Outland applicants won't get work permit. One can apply for Temporary Resident Visa (TRV). Though its hard to get.

So what do you get at the end of the part 1? A souvenir?

hey guys, can i join your club? application to sponsor my awesome Scottish husband received June 4, sponsor application in processing as of July 10.

does anyone know - does the processing time for the permanent residency application include the months of the sponsor application processing? or does the 31 months begin once the sponsor is approved?

@WeeHippieElf: It's the latter. So total time = time for sponsorship approval + time indicated at visa office.

Hey guys, how do I change my address, as the ecase shows not complete address, ecase is not showing my city, they are just showing the town. The town is just part of the city, and there must be a city name, otherwise its hard to get any post mails.

any idea? I am outside Canada applicant.

Same for me! I'm just waiting and hoping I get something! I'm a June 1st applicant so I'll be able to call next Monday if I haven't heard anything this week. But I'm hoping that won't be the case!

Yes. After 55 days (which is on Monday the 27th for me) I'll be calling CIC - just to make sure they have at least received my dang application.

As a sponsor if you have a UCI# from before (if you were ever a PR), you can always check ECAS even before you get SA.

It took 1.5 weeks to receive letter of SA after I got SA.

I know the wait must be terrible....but hopefully soon you can call them after the due date and find out that you not only have AOR, you have sponsorship too!!! Praying for you
