Sooooo my husband received an e-mail from CIC this morning and he now has his UCI and application #. BUT I'm now confused about whether this e-mail is considered AOR2 at the Visa Office. Here's what the e-mail says...if someone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!

UCI: ********
Application No.: **********

Dear _____________

This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/06/11.

It doesn't say anything about our application being received at the Visa Office :( What did everyone else's AOR 2 e-mail/confirmation say?

My email was directly from the Visa Office and it had a letter attached that didn't say which VO it was, but the email itself was signed by the VO. Did you get an email yourself for SA?

Subject: Acknowledgement of Receipt / Accusé de réception File / Dossier: FXXXXXX

Dear Madam, please see attached letter.

And then in the pdf:

DATE

UCI:XXXXX Application: XXXXX

MY ADDRESS

DEAR XXXXX,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in Canada which was received at this office on

06/11/2014.

We have created a file with the application number provided above. You must quote this application number in

any future correspondence.

INFO ON INTERVIEW

INFO ON INTERPRETERS

PREPARE YOURSELF FOR IMMIGRATION TO CANADA

And at the end of the PDF letter, there's a footer with the address and info for the VO office.

Thanks! Yes, I got an e-mail myself for SA.
There was no attached PDF letter with the e-mail my husband (principal applicant) received- it was just an e-mail message with his UCI number and Application #. The e-mail also doesn't say the date in which it was received at the Santo Domingo Visa office- it just indicates the date that our application was originally received by CIC in Mississauga (June 11, 2014).

But near the bottom of the e-mail, it does in fact say:

Embassy of Canada
Visa Section
Av. Winston Churchill No. 1099
Torre CitiGroup en Acropolis Center, Floor 18
Santo Domingo
Dominican Republic

So, I guess that means that yes, they've received it there.

CIC really needs to learn how to standardize things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey I noticed that somebody keeps changing the spreadsheet to be organized in alphabetical order for VO... I don't think this is a relevant or accurate way to track progress, it is much much better to keep progress according to the date the application was received, since it helps us sort of see what's coming. What do you think?

Hello guys!

Just wanted to share good news with you and give hope to the rest of the people waiting.
I sent our common-law application in June and the Mississauga office received it on June 5th. My partner got his SA on July 31 and I got the AOR 2 from the visa office (Paris) on August 12.
On August 25, I checked on Ecas and the status of my application was Decision Made!
They started to look at our application on August 21 and took a decision on the 25th. I knew that Paris was a speedy VO but not that fast :D
I received my COPR last Tuesday in the mail and I am going to land Saturday September 13th (I am already in Canada on a work permit).
So, it can go very very fast!!!!
Fingers crossed for all of you, it will come when you don't expect it!
Good luck!

Hi guys, just joining the conversation!
Sent our marriage application to Mississauga and was received 9th June, It got accepted and transferred to London VO 7th August and started to be processed on the 21st August. However on the same day the status online changed to Decision Made! They emailed me asking for a few extra documents such as a copy of my passport and 2 visa photos along with an A4 sized self-addressed envelope. I sent that all off on the 27th August and they received it the next morning. So now I'm just waiting patiently for my copr in the post!
Just to give you guys hope!
