Hi gtareddy,
I made the same innocent mistake and felt very uncomfortable when I read the comments in this forum. One of my colleagues sent his application on April without work records and his application is in process right now. They did not ask any additional document.
Technically, they cannot send back an application just because it's missing some papers that were not even on the checklist however we know how CIC works. Some of CIC officers are looking for an excuse to send back or reject an application. I guess we should just cross our fingers and toes and wish that we won't bump one of those guys..
Good luck!
Hi pengyuen,
Thanks for your reply. When did you submit your application? I was thinking to send a separate mail with all my employment docs requesting them to add them to the main application. Do you think it works?

I would just let it as it is. cuz if they dont satisfy your application, the worst they can do is send you a RQ, and then u may submit all the documents. otherwise, your application will move from sydney to your local office in 3-6 month of time.

Hi gtareddy,
I agree with u4g5. I'll wait until I get a file number and call CIC if I need to send any additional document. You can call and ask them, they would give you a better idea than mine:)
It's a very stressful time to send and application since they are about to accept the new law. I'm just thinking positive and wishing that they won't return my application.
Cheers,

watch out if the bill receives Royal Assent today right after it passes 3rd reading!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if not today, it will be any day from tmw until next friday

Does it matter if ours applications reach CPC-Sydney tomorrow, but the bill receives Royal Assent, becoming a law, today or tomorrow? Worrying...

Aaaaand the million dollar question is... what will be the fate of us June applicants (possibly May as well) who have not had their applications formally 'received' by the initial CIC intake process (e.g. eCas update, letter and Discover Canada book sent), or those eleventh hour applicants (e.g. myself), wherein our applications are literally on the delivery vehicles or in transit to Sydney this very moment, to be delivered tomorrow?

I guess we find out soon, eh.

In other news, UPS just updated with the following:

Scheduled For Early Delivery On:
Friday, 06/20/2014, By End of Day

Originally Scheduled For Delivery On:
Monday, 06/23/2014, by 12:00 P.M.

My application should NEVER have been "Originally Scheduled For Delivery On: Monday, 06/23/2014" :o It cost me $50 to mail it for 'guaranteed' Friday delivery by NOON!

I guess the good news is, it says it WILL be delivered on Friday still. Of course, we'll have to see if that actually happens...

time to cheerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Today I have contacted the CIC and the agent told me that no one knows what will be the effect of the new regulation as he told me the CIC may go retrospective and consider all the applicants during this year as new and may be affected by the new regulations

Retrospective ? Not possible. If they do it all the applications would be rejected. As we all filled in past 4 years residency, employment & educational records. New application itself would be different. As the requirement is going to be 4 years of residency in the past 6 years. So it would be necessary to fill in 6 years of history.
