June 2014 Citizenship Application.

Hi guys.
So a few weeks ago I sent a case specific inquiry to CIC about my application and I got a reply on Sept 25 that included by Client Id and Application Number:

"This confirms that your application for Canadian Citizenship has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/07/10"

This reply I did not find gave me much clue as to what was going on my application.

Then yesterday I checked my e-mail and I received this message from CIC dated Oct 3:

"Dear Client,
Thank you for your enquiry.
Your application has been received and is currently in queue awaiting assignment to an agent for processing.
An email was sent to you acknowledging receipt of your application on September 25, 2014.
Please contact us if you have not received this email.
Regards,
Citizenship and Immigration Canada"

This is the same message that some of you on here have mentioned so I hope that is better news that my application is on the right track to being processed.

By everyone, I mean the majority of applicants. I Have 14 friends who went through citizenship in the last 5-6 years, 11 of them got rq'd. (They are all from different countries, cultures and have not much in common.)

Im waiting for mine... I've made peace with it.

Just as a matter of interest did your 3 friends who didn't get RQ's come from countries that have visa free entry into Canada? I did hear anecdotally that CIC on average have a lot more fraud and "errors" in applications from individuals who come from countries who require visas to enter Canada.

what i noticed that Montreal applicants get their aor's or test first then Ottawa's. so, i am waiting for you first.

I moved recently and updated my address online but it's still showing the old address. It says it would be updated in 2 weeks. I don't wanna miss any mail and don't know if I need to call them or just keep an eye on Ecase. Received line disappeared last week so maybe something is happening. :'(

It is always a good idea (especially when expecting important mail) to sign up for mail forwarding (for a fee), at least 2 wks before you move and for about a month, while you update your mailing address. Not all new tenants would be keen to forward it to you and worse, may dispose of it.

so it means...our application is in order??
