I guess email confirmation is as good as the postal mail as they also include the application number ?!?

Finally !! Email from CIC confirming my file number.
I was at Post Office Parking lot with all the documents to send second application. My phone beeped and I checked my email.
Looks like online case specific enquiry works. Checked online status but No eCas update yet.

Just called cic.. the lady told me that the email confirmation will serve as my AOR and dont expect to receive in mail..

That's the beauty of call center agents at CIC. You call again and you will get different answer
But I agree email should be as good as postal mail. In fact CIC should use e-mail for future communication saving the postage overhead to them and eliminating the risk of losing mail to us.

Call center agent today suggested to wait until October 1st week before filing another application. He also said they are working on July 3rd applications.

When did you submit the online case specific enquiry? I guess it take 2-3 weeks after submission to get a reply.
