Hi! I am hoping this thread would be really helpful. I have this situation to start with:

I had my application sent and done at the manila embassy last Dec.2012, received acknowledgement on Feb. 08, 2013 and was sent for
medical and medical done the next day, which is the 9th. I am a direct hire.

questions:

1. does the 5-month processing period really gets delayed? (or was i looking at the wrong info?)
2. what could be causing the delay? the strike alert?
3. is it advisable to call the visa section to check the status (which number to call and how)?
4. any advice as my employer is getting a bit worried because he needs me by September 2013?

Send an inquiry of the status of your application via email to the visa office where you sent your application. The Canadian embassy don't accept phone inquiries for relating to visa applications.

I have sent the inquiry about last 2 weeks ago but did not get any reply yet. I dont want to send another inquiry as it may affect my application. Meanwhile i am still crossing my fingers to this one! Thanks again!

hi guys..tanong ko lang kung maka recieved ba din ako thru email AOR even if meron akong representative na agency. di ko kasi alam kung when natangap ng CEM ang application ko. sabi ng agency sa akin may15 pa daw nila na i send mga application namin. dami kasi namin na hire butchers..

u can also try IOM medical Centre sa makati ave lang. Overall ok ang facilities at staff and take note its much less fee than st lukes... st lukes will also require u to take hepa test or even make u pay for any tattoo or excess ear piercing. cic.gc.ca/pp-md/pp-list.aspx check this link if ur not sure if IOM is accredited... 8) hope this would help god bless mate

Yes I did, actually all of us sa group namin (10) duon lahat nagpamed last march.... God Bless...

Sept 2 - mr received
Sept 5 - medical done

Ask ko po if panu ko mlalaman kung na4ward n ng st lukes result ng medical kosa cem? Tnx po
