I know I haven't been very active lately, but I have no news either :( Nothing else was updated on e-cas, so all we can do is wait. My parents-in-law are coming to visit us next week, so I am getting ready to be the best daughter-in-law possible :D I wish everyone a great week-end and a wonderful week ahead (with good new)!! God bless us!

Good Luck huns.. Have a lovely time spent with ur family.

Well here is an update to my status:
I came to Canada ( from the US) to visit my spouse. I saved a bunch of money and decided to go for the 6 months I was legally allowed too. When I got to the border I was of course sent inside and questions by the immigration officers. I was honest with them, showed them copies of my application, told them what I wanted to do. They were very nice and helpful. They told me that I should get a LMO job since I can't legally work while Im visiting etc. Then they did something awesome. They gave me a visitors permit. This allows me to stay in the country for a year. I can also file an extension until my PR stuff is processed and stay longer. Since I am married to a Canadian Citizen it also allows me to get be on her healthcare. I was so excited for that =).

As far as application stuff goes. It's still just says application received on Jun 28 when I check it online. I did however email the LA office ( were my app was sent) and give them my Canadian address. I did that last Thursday and it has already been updated.

Other than that... just waiting!

That is great!!

That is exactly how my husband is allowed to stay here too. We applied for an extension of the visa and he got it approved for another year - until July 2014. He is also under my family doctor. He can't work or study yet, but I hope we will receive news from the LA office soon too. Please let us (and especially me) know if you have any news from the LA office (since my husband is American as well). Thank you!!

I really don't know Lolly, my address is indeed my residential address.

Regarding this, I can only login under my e-cas, not my husband's. I only have the UCI they provided and it only works with my last name/date of birth/place of birth, not his. How can I login with his and see what address they have on file for him? Or should I just e-mail them?

Thank you!

Thaliada, did you husband receive a visitor record in his passport? If so, his UCI number is listed there and he can try logging in with that. That's how I check my status. Though my visitor record is for business.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the tip, but he did not get a visitor record. He came here before we got married and applied for the sponsorship, so he doesn't have the UCI...

You can log on to your husband's e-cas using the application number instead of the UCI. The application / file number is to be found in the SA, under the sponsor's UCI. It begins with an F, followed by 9 numbers.
