Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anybody has found on ECAS that their medical has been received? I'm a bit worried, as my husband had his medical done in late March, but we still have not received any confirmation that it was received. We sent the receipt copy with our application to Mississauga, and the medical practitioner's office couriered the results to the London VO (our visa office).

Also, something that worries me - the medical practitioner's office used to be on the list when we did the medical in late March, but was removed in June when they stopped doing Canadian visa medicals

Do you think this warrants a visit to London VO to see if they have in fact received the medical? And also whether we might need to do the medical again? I'm assuming that because the medical does not expire for 1 year, the March results should be considered until March 2014..

Thank you so much for your reply, Thaliada! It gave me so much ease of mind. My husband and I are thousands of miles apart, so the separation is really difficult.

I just wanted to both give an update and ask a question: I called Mississauga this morning, and asked about the medical. The call centre representative was actually able to go into our file (after placing me on hold), and then confirmed that more than likely, the medical has been received, as our application is in process (she said that if there was no indication of being in process, then the medical wouldn't show up). I'm not at all sure what she meant by that, but I asked for clarification, whether the "in process" status means that there are background checks going on? Her reply was still confusing, but confirmed that, yes, the medical is also part of the background check.

She lastly recommended that I should wait at least 2 more months before becoming too worried, as according to her, "there is nothing showing that there is anything wrong with the file".

What's going on?! Oh, the endless questions. Is it okay to take her word for it that things are in process? And ecas is such a pain as well, with no indications whatsoever if there is any advancement with our application!

What does everyone think? Are things moving smoothly, or is there more to this? My husband will be going directly to the London VO on Monday to ask about it as well. Will keep you posted!

ecas status are not always accurate,become my ecas status was on medicals received after I was issued my visa and copr.just keep up your faith and keep praying u will hear good news soon.

I emailed Ottawa for the status on our application but received nothing but "your application is in process" Does anyone know if by calling them I would get more information on the application status? : Hope we all get positive answers soon!

Same for us Yowan... we just need to wait. That's all. As long as it is within the guidelines, there is nothing else we can do. Just pray and hope for fast process

I just saw in the august thread that applicants from there are getting their visas...in 2 months!!

While im happy for them...just wondering where it leaves the rest of us....

Hi, I received my PPR request from Sydney, with a date for my visa validity. I sent off my PP which got there a week ago. Last Friday I received a letter I the mail to do my landing interview at the local CIC Office In Canada on the 7th of November. I wasn't able to attend that day and rescheduled it for yesterday.
My visa had been placed in the Canadian local offices to be printed. I drove 3 hours there yesterday and Sydney had taken it back off Canada's printing list and placed it back on theirs. So I did my "landing interview" but left with no visa. I'm not sure at this stage whats happening whether it will now come from Sydney or it will be sent back to the Canadian CIC office

God!! Why are they complicating things so much?!

Did they atleast tell you what would possibly happen next or by when atleast?
