My hubby did his medical 1 month before we started the application. He is from Tunisia and the approval letter says they already forwarded the PR application to the VO in Tunisia (Its weird because Tunisia is under the VO in Paris). I dont think that they update the ecas regularly because when I receive the approval I waited for a week to view the status online.

Hello June Applicants,

New member here. I'm sponsoring my husband and here's my timeline:

Started sponsoring my husband: June 24, 2013
CIC sponsor approval and file transfer to VO: July 19, 2013 (and sent to VO in Tunisia)
CSQ mailed and received by MICC: June 23, 2013

As I live here in Quebec, they were asking me to apply CSQ for my husband. Anyone here from Quebec? At the day of my approval for the sponsorship I didnt see my status online. It just this morning (July 27, 2013) that I saw the status that it was IN PROCESS and PR application RECEIVED. I dont know what will happened next. Hope goes well as the strike is going on right now. Thank you. As far as I know, here in Quebec we have two stages after approving by the CIC then we need to apply for the CSQ. But everything seems to be the same for the other provinces as for the processing. When I received the approval from the CIC, they said that they already forwarded the PR application of my husband in VO at the same date of my approval (JULY 19).

So I am assuming you have nothing to worry about. I am pretty sure there is another thread with the applicants from Quebec. If you want, you can join it and get direct information from people who've already been through the same process. However, I wish you the best of luck, swift process and short waiting

Guys read this all visa's will be put on hold in 15 locations.

I was thinking for us it's okay but I guess not? Can someone clear this up for me.

We're thinking about it. But if the strike would make the wait longer, we might try to apply. Are you planning on doing the same?

You wouldn't know it until they have asked for your passport (PPR). That's the time you would know the date of your file transfer.
