Submitted my application and the CIC office received it on 10th June 2013 according to Canada Post. I've been to the eCAS website to check there but I can't appear to get into it as one of the bits of info is incorrect. I'm guessing either me or my sponsor will receive a letter from CIC with some sort of unique ID number at some point which I can use to check progress?

yes - the sponsor will receive either an AOR (acknowledgement of receipt) or directly sponsor approval with the File number to check into ecas. Until the sponsor gets that, there is nothing else to do than wait...
Your application has been with CIC for 11 days, so it's a bit early, but stage 1 is fairly quick, so you should hear soon.

Hi, sent my husband's application June 20th. They'll probably receive it on June 24th.

I have a question. I hope you guys could help. My husband sent me his passport along with his application. And I'm wondering if the passport will be submitted here in Canada orin the Phils.
