I applied for a visitor visa from USA. I live in NJ and work as a software engineer.

I submitted my multiple entry, visitor visa online application on June 1st, 2013. I haven't heard back anything yet.

On a side-note, in April 2013 I cleared a Quebec immigration interview and got CSQ. Now want to visit Montreal to see a friend and also site-seeing. Does anybody know if having a Quebec CSQ is considered an advantage or disadvantage when applying for visitor visa from USA?

Thanks

I have 2 passports. Old and new passport. Should I send both the passports to Consulate for stamping or only the NEW one ? please answer if anybody know regarding this ?

I applied online on Jun 1st and got passport request today Jun 21. I already mailed it today itself to LA.

I also applied on 5th June got the request today, not sure which carrier I will use so that it reaches fast and how I can get it return back quickly. any suggestion.
can I use Fedex or I have to use USPS only, appreciate quick response.

calmblue you are definitely right. you should only send the new passport. it is listed as a condition on the passport request letter i.e Your passport must be valid for the duration of your expected length of stay in Canada.
