aor received on July 29

application filed on 7 th June

Hey Amit,
Can you explain, why they had to resend it? Was it coming by mail? What did you do when you did not get it?

Hey,

First time they send it went in junk email and I never check those just delete them..

So I emailed back and asked them and then they asked me to check spam...if u tell them the client I'd....they can check and tell u and would resend it to u

Thanks for confirming Cezycez!
I think nobody, whose application was received at Sydney on or after 11th June, have got their Ecas status updated (Except Sandeep, who's NOC is in full demand by CIC :)).
Hope it get's updated in next week..

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and was wondering if anyone has any input with regards to my situation which I will explain below.

My work permit expired before I sent my PR application under the CEC stream(app. was received on June 20th, still awaiting AOR). I couldn't apply earlier since I was waiting for my Language Test results which came after my work permit expired. I knew this would happen so I applied for and obtained a Visitor Record in order to maintain legal status in Canada. I'm currently in Canada and will be for at least another 2 months. Most likely my PR application will be processed at CPP-Ottawa.

My question is; would I be able to apply for an Open Work Permit from within Canada once I receive AOR? I have used the "Apply Online" tool on CIC's website and the end result says "You may be eligible to work with an Open Work Permit."

Does anyone have any input on this. Any response or advice would be much appreciated.

Many thanks.

I don't think you are eligible to apply bridge open work permit, as the following is the eligible criteria for that

1.have a valid work permit
2.received AOR on PR Application
3.work permit(open/close) expiring with in 4 months.

So, I would say give it a try.... If you just wanna toss $200 bucks to test your luck....

Thanks Honeysingh, I think I will give it a try since I will be here for another 2 months. Worse case scenario, it doesn't get approved and I will just have to go back home and wait for PR to come through.
