Great news congrats Wessless it is well deserved
Thanks stalintouch, great news indeed. PPR took 8 months, not bad at all. Didn't think things would be moving this fast, especially when I remember how slow things were during the strike. Your turn is coming, be ready!!! Goodluck.

yes, 60 days.

Thanks guys!!!
Yea hope they reply to my request soon...seems like they take a while to reply when you request to stamp visa at local CIC office.
60 days indeed to submit passport.
Hang in there, everyone who completed medicals should be getting PPR very soon.

Hi carlyle0815

It is the same issue as of mine.

My wife cannot land with me as She needs to leave canada for 3 weeks for a vacation. If we do landing together then it takes 30-60 days to get PR card. Without that if she travels then she needs travel document from CIC which is not an easy process.

So i decided to land first alone (we both are in canada now) by entering to US by road. After a month while returning to canada, my wife would do landing.

But only question comes to my mind, what if emmigration officer asks me that where is my wife why she is not accompanying you? Can i tell him frankly she will doing later or she is not well now :-)

Received GCMS notes a few minutes ago. Here are the details:

Date Requested: 27th January 2014
Date Generated: 28th January 2014

Eligibility: Not Started
Security: Not Started
Ciminality: In Progress
Medical: Not Started

So that was the status of my application as of 28th January, 2014. No notes, except about an email I sent to update my address.

Yes you can. I got PPR yesterday and my ECAS is still "In Process." Hang in there, you'll hear soon from CIC.
