Did you land at Peace bridge by taking U turn? Cause what I have known from other forums is they have stopped landing there.

No I went in the US and got some buffalo wings and landed when I was back in Canada.

I'm a June 2013 applicant but I haven't received anything after the file number...

I see a lot of you guys have received Medical Requests, done it & sent it, or more progresses, but my ECAS has no update other than 1. Application Received. and I'm so concerned.

I'm from Korea and my NOC is 1241 which is one of the 6 codes that got blocked since last November, so I'm concerning if this can be a reason for the delay...

Any helps or advice will be appreciated. :'(

If you are in Canada apply GCMS ....then you will come to know what's going with your file

It does not apply to those who applied before November 2013.You are OK.The reason is there is some intense inspection for those cancelled NOC codes hence the cancellation.A lot of people were faking the positions and as you know there are coworkers who will report the fraud.cic call center "press 5 for immigration fraud ".
I see that they are becoming strict towards restaurant supervisors and cooks. i don't know if the VO's are strict towards your NOC.
What might be a problem for many of us is that; remember many applicants have families and the visa's given to each member counts towards the CEC per year visa limit.I cannot remember the actual limit figure.

do i need to send photos along with passports? My PPR email does not say anything about photos. :-\
however i read some people have been asked to send photos.

If you are not in Canada then you will need to send photos.
You need to first inform them that you are not in Canada so that they will inform the visa office in Delhi.
You will afterwards receive another email with a different format.
