We have submitted our application last june 17 2013 on manila visa office and so far, no acknowledgement of receipt letter was sent to us. Does this mean they haven't opened our application yet? We tracked our application package and it stated that it was delivered and was received by s.g. Beronia. I was just curious what took them so long to send us an acknowledgement of receipt letter since it has been almost 8 months now. Thanks

It goes this way. April 2013, the embassy sent us an email regarding the forms to be filled up such as generic forms, copy of passports, police clearance, etc.. and we are given 60 days to comply. We submitted the application kit last June 2013 in Manila Visa office via courier. Are we supposed to receive an acknowledgement of receipt letter? Some of my colleagues whos in the same situation as mine received a letter via email stating that the manila office received their application package.

I'd submitted my application in March 2013 and Embassy ( Abu Dhabi) started processing the application on 20th Feb hence you might get an acknowledgement after 3 months.
