Congratulations!!!
glad the journey is finishing for so many of the applicants.
Mine drags on... still waiting for MR, it's been almost 15 month :)
I feel like they had forgotten about me completely.... did everything I could, wrote them, ordered GCMS notes, and even inquired about the case through a local MP.
Now I just have to wait, and be humbled by the fact there are others who are waiting even longer.
Congratulations again and good luck to all who are still waiting!
My application dated 28 May 2012 -CPP Ottawa but mine is FSW2.
Still no update.
I thought CEC applicants are little quick than FSW2.

First of all, CONGRATS to all the friends who got their PR done!

Then, please help with my situation.
I submitted our application June 2012.
Everything was fine, CIC just request my wife's RCMP criminal check.

We immediately sent her paper fingerprints and RCMP received it on 26 April. According to RCMP, it may take 18 weeks. Then, I emailed CIC and let them know this information. CIC replied and said our circumstances are well noted.
After that email, we were just waiting. Then, we received another email from CIC saying: we didn't hear anything from you since we requested your wife's RCMP criminal check, you have 30 days to submit it and this is your final reminder.
I am shocked. I emailed them again and explained this issue. I also email RCMP to ask how much longer it will take them to finish our case (it has been 16 weeks so far).

So, your advice is highly appreciated now.
1, we can redo this RCMP fingerprint check through a canadian agency which will only take 2 weeks to get the result. So, it will be done within the 30 days limit.
2, because it has been 16 weeks, it should be done very soon. So, I would like to confirm whether it can be done within this time limit. I have emailed RCMP. Do you guys know any number of RCMP I can call?
3, any suggestions?

Thanks a lot!

Decision made status appeared on eCAS today.

I've received PPR on Aug 9th and CPP Ottawa received passports on Aug 13th.

Long journey...ending soon.

I just received CIC email request for medical exam and rcmp clearance. Finally I heard something from them after 5 months of waiting.

I am wondering if anyone has done medical exam in Calgary or even in Canada can tell me that if X-Ray was involved? I had my exam done 2 weeks ago but it was just some routine items like vision, BP test, etc. and no x-ray taken. is this normal?

Thanks.

As far as I know there normally should be X-ray and blood test

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

Call your doctor and confirm.

Email them asking for extension, just make sure to
Tell them the detail of all the things happened and apologize
For the inconvenience. Dont forget to attach any receipt or any proof that
You are already working out your wife's criminal record.
If you can also come personally to RCMP and request them if they could possibly
Speed up the process since you are only given limited time.
There's no harm in trying. Do everything you can.. You're almost there.
You're not the only one given this sort of final reminder many from applicants of different
Category had underwent same situation.
Goodluck!

Hi everyone,

Congrats to all of those who suceed in there application,
to the rest just keep your patience.

Just an FYI: if there are people planning to do an exit
in Montana Border the one in Carway I suggest not. Just try
other border because the immigration officers there are quite
hostile. Most especially if you come from Edmonton. They dont like the
idea of making long drive just to do an exit because we can do the landing now in
some Canada Place. However, getting schedule in Canada Place is another pain on the neck.
It'll make you wait for another couple of months before you get a schedule for your landing.

Just sayin...based on my and many of friends experience.

Goodluck!

So I completed my landing yesterday in Prescott bridge (as I am from Ottawa). It was really easy.
Some details:
I took the print outs of a) my pay stubs, b) bank statement as well as my work permit, passport, CoPR. Drove directly to the bridge. At one point I saw there is a U-turn to get back to the customs line. However, I was not sure whether I should take it, so I drove straight to US. Went to the border, saw them my passport and I told them I am there for flag poling. There were few people on the line before me so it took around 40 minutes on the US side. It was pretty straight forward. The lady was very nice. Before leaving I asked her whether I will put my visa to the US was rejected in my US visa application. She said I can put yes and explain the landing.
Once I was on the Canadian side, I mentioned that I am there to land. They asked for the administrative rejection document from US. So, I guess you need to go there. But I would like to see if any one did the otherwise (by taking u-turn). Showed my visa and other documents. The lady at the check post told me to keep them with me and to get into the building next. Btw on both US and Canada side, I was given yellow slips... So I walked into the building and waited for 2 minutes before my call.. :) Standard questions. I was asked to show my degree.. I was not really sure why! any way I only had my student ID card from my university. I showed that. The officer seemed to be a nice person, except he never smiled. I guess this is not customer service.. lol.. anyway, within 15 minutes I was done and left the place.

My time lines are:
Applied : June 22nd 2012
Received : June 24th 2012
AOR: July 23rd, 2012
Medical Req: April 2, 2013
Medical Received: July 8, 2013
PPR: July 13, 2013
Passport sent: July 14, 2013
PP received and landing done: July 29, 2013

Congrats Orko! :)

I have this question - what if I don't have a US visa and I need to complete my landing? .. Do I have to fly out to some country where I don't have the visa limitation and come back to Canada for landing? Can't we just go to the Canada border directly? I am just trying to understand if there is a way to avoid having US visa rejection in my immigration records.

PS: This is just a hypothetical question .. I have not even received my MR yet .. just waiting for past 14 months.
