Bengal - I am from visa exempt and I've been waiting since feb 21st. I called them yesterday. (Just phoned the immigration line) and I got a wonderful lady who said that a PR code has been applied to my status and its any day now. I just can't believe it's taken more than 9 wks. You would think that as we are visa exempt its one less step for them and we should get COPR letter quicker. Not the case I guess.

Hi Guys,

How long does it take to hear back from CIc after your ECAs shows "In Process".
Normally within a week, you will receive medical request or asking to pay RPRF. In my case it was MR. But it varies case by case...

Did my landing today in niagara - rainbow bridge by foot, rosty was absolutely right, it is the best and easy way to land quickly.

Only address proof apart from passport and COPR, I gave my driver's license.
I took all my bank statements, paystubs, hydro bill, tv and Internet bills but she directly asked me for license.

As a matter of fact I didn't give my work permit, finally I asked her does she need my WP, she said my WP is nullified as u became PR, so she told me if u want me to shred it I could do that, I said that's fine let me have it for my records and she was fine with it

I just gave a short summary above 2 posts that was my landing experience, it was very quick and simple; I would suggest others to do their landing in pedestrian route, honestly I don't have nothing more to say, lol because it was very simple and quick

Hi Everyone,

As waiting makes you think many things... I was wondering if I should inquire about my status at this point because of the following:

In November I was asked to give a Police clearance. I sent them a reply in detail, they said they received it and it was attached to my file and a case officer would review it. Then in March along with my medical and rprf request they asked for this police clearance again since i had not responded to their earlier email in November!

But I had! Anyway so I sent them an email with the old email acknowledgement from CIC showing I had responded and I also printed everything and sent it by post.

Now on my ECAS it shows medical received.

I'm getting really concerned if my police clearance was actually reviewed or what happened. Should I inquire or just wait it out? ::)
