Yes if you use courier then just one Xpresspost, otherwise buy two and use one for return. Only need one for returning passport.

I received my medical call on Friday April 12, 2013. I have booked my medical test for next week.

Also, today (April 15, 2013) I received an e-mail for biodata form and request to pay the fee for Right of Permanent Residency. My first question: Is it normal to receive these two requests before the medical reports are submitted to CIC?

Secondly, how long does it take after the medical to get the PR? I just wanted to know the timeline as my work permit is expiring by the end of September 2013. Kindly, let me know!!!

yes, it is very common to receive these requests before PPR... and I have received like this.

After you finish your medicals, and after the reports have been sent to CIC, you can expect within 20 days to get the PPR request as per the recent trend...

I have done the medical two days ago and today received two emails from CIC.

we are living in our home country, not in Canada.
1st email: request the RCMP record for my spouse

my questions:
1,she only stayed in Canada for just less than 6months. According to the guide, we didn't submit her RCMP. Now CIC is requesting. can we argue?
2,Because we are living in our home country (China), the police station doesn't provide the fingerprint service, we can get it from a notary office. Is it ok?
3,it might be longer than 30days they requires, do we need to send them an email to explain? if so, which email address?

2nd email: right PR fee and biodata
my questions:
1, I paid online by credit card and got a receipt. Should I fill in the receipt since there are some blanks with name, dob, etc?
2, according to the guide, email this receipt to them is enough, is it correct?
3, Biodata form, can you fill electroniclly? I can't, and plan to fill it by hand and scan it. is it ok?

I did my emedicals on march 12 and I called dmp to find out that when it was sent , they told me that it was sent two weeks from the it was done . I havnt heard anything from Cic neither my Ecas shows medicals received . Is there anyone in the same boat as me .

Hi Rick...I am also in the same boat, got MR on Feb 25, did e-Medicals on Mar 2, results were send to CIC on Mar 19, no updates yet, ecas still says In Process...let me know when u get PPR

Got MR on 12th March
Medicals done on 18th March
Medicals sent on 21st March.

Hey Toddmeng,
I don't think much will come out of an argument with CIC. Here is a link and apparently they can do the fingerprint from anywhere.

Give them a call and checkout. Please inform us of the outcome.

Not required. All that is required to be submitted is the long form Birth Certificate of the baby born in Canada.

After getting the PPR, they will give you 60 days time to send your passports. Once you send the passports, it may take 4-6 weeks to get your passports returned after Visa stamping.

Then, one fine day you can do cross borders and get the formalities done to become PR.
During this time, you cannot leave the country until you get your PR card. (Literally, you can leave the country, but cannot re-enter without PR Card).

It would take 6-8 weeks to get the PR card. After that, you are allowed to leave/enter the country any time you wanted.
