My status is still saying IN-Progress. I am waiting for it to change to Medical Exam received.

When did you do your medical examination?

we did our medicals on feb 16.e-cas updated medical received last week of march.last friday it changed to decision made and today we got our ppr

Hi,

Got MR on April 6th and Biodata and RPRF today.
Since my husband applied dependent visa for Canada, he did medicals for dependent visa application last week.
Would the same medicals be fine for PR as well since it's submitted with same Client ID ? Any one hs anyideas?

I have been through same thing, DMP said we have do medicals for both .

Can you let me know how did you do that? Hospital authorities are telling that they already submitted with the same client id and they cant do it again.

When we told DMP that we had submit medicals for my spouse for visitor visa extension and now cic has asked medicals for PR application . He said we have to do it again since the ones for PR is goes differently. We did it and sent it now we have status as "medicals received " . I hope this helps, also remember your medicals request forms for cec has your file no whereas visitor record does not.

From the email, we know the result of our medical examination will be valid for 12 months. Could you guys tell me whether there is a deadline for doing the medical exam after MR? Thanks!

Congratulations to those who got the MR and PPR. I wish i could be like that. after 1.5 months away from the forum being frustrated by the rejection from CIC. I am now trying to re-apply for my permanent resident again. hope to hear any updates or news from CIC since they always change their rules and regulations.

and don't worry i won't bug you guys after re-apply in april 2013.

You could do the medical from the country you are in now... The process is already slow, no one can tell how slower it will become in few months.

You could do the medical from the country you are in now... The process is already slow, no one can tell how slower it will become in few months.

yes, I will definitely support orko...

I am the live example.
---> got MR in Feb 14
---> delayed doing medicals till Feb 28th
---> DCMP further delayed not submitting until March 19th

still didnt hear anything from CIC.
otherwise, could have very well received my PPR by this time.

So, please dont delay and do the medicals wherever you are
and if possible try to do eMedicals.
also, seeing from friends' experience that eMedicals are pretty fast in India and submitting very promptly..... not sure if it is applicable to you.
