yosemite,

I have not received any AOR yet.

But, now I am seeing my application status in CIC website as "Application Received on May 20th" while I submit my application in June first week and got confirmation from courier agency that it reached on June 7th.

Till last week, I dont remember I see anything in CIC status or probably am I searching with wrong details??......

I dont know how to react.. feel happy that I am seeing something (at least); or feel bad that the details in this message are incorrect.

I choose to feel happy on a positive front for a feel good reason. :)

Ganesh,

I dont think you need to worry about the dates...good news is that you can see your application on ecas...that means that your file has been created..:)

I have sent my application to Sydney,NS on June 5th and AOR received on August 8th.

Hi Seniors,
I am a November applicant. My application received on 13-Nov and till date my bank draft hasn't been cashed.. little worried.. Has anyone faced this situation that their draft hasn't been cashed even after 6 weeks after applicaiton received date.
Also, is there anyway I can check w.r.t. my application in ECAS system before receiving AOR.. if so, how do I check my application status. I donot have any details other than the bank draft numbers.
Thanks in advance.

This is not November thread. Ask others in November if any one is having same issue. Situation changes time to time. In some months most people were getting their AORs within 15 days, in some months they got them in few months.

Hi Orko,
I know things would be different case to case and also the duration changes but would like to know from some one who travelled my path in the past.. so they can educate me and give a real good reason for this delay.

I didn't mean to be rude. You would get better response if you create a separate topic on it. Then all the applicants can reply to you regardless of which month. This will also be useful for others in future. Hope that helps.

Hi June applicants,

I have a quick question regarding a police clearance, i only submitted the police clearance from my home country because i turned 18 in my home country. I'm leaving canada soon. should i submit another one from RCMP? Please advice.

thank you very much.

Hi Uing,

They ask you for police clearance for the past 10 years. So basically I had been in Canada for 8 years so I thought I had to submit only the Canadian police clearance. Wrong! They asked me for police clearance for the first 2 years as well when I wasn't in Canada. So basically since you've submitted the police clearance from your home country, you should definitely submit the one from RCMP provided you've been staying and working in Canada or have for some time.

Hope this helps.

Hi ssparkles,

Yeah, i have been in canada for 9 years. So with this period of time i definitely need to submit RCMP police clearence. How do i get one though since i never do that before. And how much does it cost?

Thank you

Hi Uing,

I personally got my criminal check with fingerprints the following way and it was quite simple once I figured it out. So basically you can go to the Fingerprinting Commissionaires (there are many other places you can go to, but this one is tried and tested by me so... here it is). Call them before hand and ask then if you need an appointment for fingerprints for a criminal check and what documents you need to get.

As far as I remember I had to take 2 pcs of ID and it cost around $58 or so and 5 mins of your time. Once they take your fingerprints, they fill up a form online and tell you good bye. They send it to you by post and it takes 2 weeks as far as I recall. If you're leaving before 2 weeks you can check with them if they have an option to send it to immigration directly. If not you can see if someone can forward it for you to immigration.

When they ask what your purpose of obtaining this is - you say its for immigration and that you need a criminal check with fingerprints.

Hi Everyone

I have applied for PR under CEC in June and received AOR in Nov. I've been waiting now for medical requests, which will probably take sometime. I've a question regarding police clearance certificates. Is it necessary / mandate to get RCMP criminal record check cert for PR, If I've stayed in Canada ?

I've recently moved out of Canada, and am wondering if CIC people may request for RCMP cert. I am based in India and not sure, if i can put a RCMP request with Canadian Consulate here. I've send them an email to check the same.

Is there anyone, who has applied/ requested RCMP from outside Canada ?
