You have to get a birth certificate, long form (careful, there is also the short form you need long). Then send it via courier with your file number and a letter explaining that the baby was born in Canada, etc...

If you actually send them an email, send them your file number and tell them you have a newborn and they will ask you for the same information i am providing here (it will take them a few days to respond though, so start working on that long form birth certificate).

Thank you Treznor ! I am very well aware of the child's birth certificate that needs to be sent along with other required documents.

My question was that I still haven't informed CIC of my child's birth that took place a few days ago. Should I inform them immediately or I can wait for a day or so ?

Any applicant who had/has the similar experience of having a child in India during the PR application process, kindly advise. I would really appreciate.

Should we just send the PR Fee for the amount of $490. just to show CIC that we are serious about our PR application. Some cases showed that CIC kind of speed things up.

Suggestion or opinion regarding this?

I also have question regarding restoration of status. we need to pay the fee for $200 and apply for either work permit or Visitor visa.

My question is for work permit they still want to see an LMO so i will probably apply for visitor visa, now this is where i have to choose whether i want the multiple entry or single entry right?

please shed me some light if you guys don't mind.

those fees are due only when passport is requested.

Hi Everyone,

So that means the PR fee is $490 and the medical is another $400 approx. Is there any other expense to keep in mind going ahead?

Any idea of the approx time between sending your medical and getting ur passport request?

I'm a March applicant. Got my medical request Sept. 13, they were sent Nov. 1 (due to a mix-up), and I got my PPR on November. 19. So, about 3 weeks for me, though some have been shorter/longer than that.

No MR yet...updated my AOR date....Some of the May applicants have got PPR...while many are waiting for MRs...looks like we will hear from CIC in the new year. Not sure how things work though...most March, APril and some May applicants seem to have got PPR in 7-8 months...Its been 6 months since I filed the application....so going by the previous timelines I should be getting MR soon...but looking at the number of May applicants waiting for MRs....maybe June applicants have to wait longer for MRs.

I have not received any AOR yet.

But, now I am seeing my application status in CIC website as "Application Received on May 20th" while I submit my application in June first week and got confirmation from courier agency that it reached on June 7th.

Till last week, I dont remember I see anything in CIC status or probably am I searching with wrong details??......

I dont know how to react.. feel happy that I am seeing something (at least); or feel bad that the details in this message are incorrect.

I choose to feel happy on a positive front for a feel good reason.

what is PCC? i trying to send the RPRF payment because i might leave the country. therefore i would like to just pay them now and don't worry about it in the future. Also i have a new passport.

Is the RPRF supposed to be sent to CPP-O? My AOR says that CPP-O may ask the consulate General at Detroit to process this fee. This is what my AOR states :

Role of the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) and of the Consulate General in Detroit (USA)

The CIO and the Detroit visa office may be asked from time to time by this office to perform tasks such as processing application fees (for newly added dependents or the Right of Permanent Residence Fee), conducting interviews or issuing Permanent Residence visas.

You may therefore receive requests originating from different offices. Please pay particular attention to which office is making the request and where your response must be sent. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience.
