I tried several times calling CIC call centre to see what's going on, couldn't connect, busy
Getting the busy message by default? That is frustrating. Why not put us on a queue and then connect to the agent? :(

Guys,

Just a suggestion, Have some patience. I have waited for around 5 months to get my AOR. And they didn't update my ecas until my medical was done. The only thing i knew was that my draft was cashed in february, thats it. So chill, i know its hard, but there is nothing you can do. Even if you send them an email, they will send you there standard reply that we take 30 weeks to process the application.....and so on. So just relax, sooner or later, they gonna work on your application. People who applied in Jan already got their PR and stuff, and I'm still waiting. So have some patience :)

Hi
I got an email from CIC which gives my application number, UCI informing that the application was received and that it will be transferred to Visa office for Processing. Is that AOR? Could anyone tell us what an AOR look like? Or send me a link to any other post where they give a format of AOR?

CIC received my application on 27th June,
got the AOR (same as this one) today 1st August.
hope everybody will hear sth from them soon
G

Congratulations to all those fellow applications who got the AOR.

What wonders me is that, people (like me) who applied first/second week of June didnt receive the AOR's yet.... all june applicants who sent application after 15 are getting the AOR's.

Seems this depends on the Visa officer who is processing the applications...

Ganesh123,

I too applied in the first week of June and awaiting AOR.

But its surprising that other june applicants who applied much later are receiving their AORs.

We should hopefully expect our AORs sometime soon.

Same here, my application was received June 12th and my draft was cashed July 9th - no word yet. The wait is excruciating especially because you get paranoid that you did something wrong or there was something missing etc... Ugh.

Don't worry, we will get it a little late.
The probable reason would be, they might have piled up all the early to mid June applicant and sent to one lazy division and the rest might have gone to a good division, late june applicants are really lucky
even some of march/April applicants are waiting for AOR - hope ours didn't go to that lazy division (coz its much lazy, LOL)

Hi.. To people who havent got their AOR: I just heard from my friend that, sometimes, they combine AOR and Medical Request together. Sometimes they send the AOR first and send Medical Request few months later. So that could be the difference too.
