June 2012 Applications

Nothing so far for me. I have also sent an email to CIO-Sydney-Search-Enquiry at cic.gc.ca, and only received an auto-reply.
Could you correct the date for me, I have filed my application on 04 Jun 2012.
Friend of mine filed her application in May and recently received request for medicals.

On what date of May did she apply?

Hi Ssparkles,

As you may know that CIC kind of changed the policy, the AOR that the May applicants received are from CPP-O However the AOR that the after June 15 applicants received are from CIO Sydney which before their file even transfer to CPP-O. Therefore, at the end of the day it will be all the same process. I think Yosemite was the one noticing the trend and verified. So let's hope for the best for all of us.

Anyway I haven't heard anything yet. No change in Ecas, no email, no AOR yet. But we're very close now... it should come soon 8)

Yes...I did send them an email and got an automated reply that they will respond shortly...but have not recd any reply yet...I had also called up the call center but they say they dont have access to the CPP=O system and as such they wont be able to help out...they suggested that I send an email to CPP-O asking for the file number. So its back to square one and the waiting.

As per the forum, no one has recd AORs after sept 26th...this is driving me nuts really...but i guess there is nothing we can do except wonder, wait and hope.

Thanks for sharing your experience. CIC by their own standard should have sent out AOR within 4 months of application receipt. It's therefore strange that they are not forthcoming with clarifications in response to your email.
Nevertheless, we wait and believe breakthrough is by the corner!!!!!!!!!!!!

i applied june no AOR yet....very painful to wait but hopeful soon we will get at least information.i have question i wanna go back in my home country for 3 weeks in December since i came here i never visit them i real miss home so badly so what can i do ?did some one has any experience that they will allow me to re enter?and i am waiting for pr which i applied since JUNE as so many people waiting for this.please give me advice

Hi Mwano,
So what is your current status in Canada. Do you have a work permit as well as a visa. If you have a visa is it expired or is it still valid and when does your visa expire? If you have a valid visa and if its valid atleast for 6 months from December, you can def go home for 3 weeks and come back. If your visa is expired, you should apply for a visa right away as sometimes they may take atleast 3 months to reply back or send you the visa. It doesn't matter if you applied for PR or not, If you have a valid visa and a valid permit or staus in Canada you can def travel and re-enter Canada. I hope you get to go home and see your family. I know what you mean when you say you miss home and that you haven't been back home since you came to Canada. Hope you get your AOR and PR as well soon. Cheers!

my status i came here as live in caregiver?March i extended my work permit now i have valid work permit until 2014 despite that on June i applied foe OPEN WORK PERMIT AND PR it took me 3 month to get OWP on sept 13th i got OWP which is valid up to 2016..now i am looking for any job to get money so i can visit my parents as you says is very hard not seeing each other for couple of years and my fiancee i thing even he mic me very badly it has been to much and so many years as you know CIC now i am living in my previous employer home their very kind family to let me live here although not work to them anymore but also there is many challenges,so i am looking for job so hard

hello mwano, how did you get an OWP in 3 months??? What procedure did you follow? CIC told me 15 to 18 months to get OWP...

no now is only 3 month a lot of my friend got 3 month after applied.i just filled form and pay 150 canadian dolla and sent together with PR application and i have work permit valid for 2 years as you remember i extended in this year march that is all about

That is excellent that you have OWP till 2016. So, now you just have to make sure that you have a valid visa to travel and re-enter canada. If you don't have a valid visa, please apply right away for a visa or TRV (even though you have a OWP, you still need to apply for TRV if the one they gave you in the begiing is expired).
