Thank you for the input, then it might be just a variation due to officer taking a vacation, or even taking a maternity/paternity leave. Anything can happen, and then the load is transferred which causes a big delay. Could be as simple as something like that. In any case, all we can do is just wait.
Congrats on your MR by the way!

Hey, just thought I'd give my 2 cents regarding this. I travel a lot and I had 2 pages of travels too. I just got my MR so I don't think that is the case, but what do I know...

Folks - any idea on the recent trend on timing of PPR after completing the eMedicals?
I have heard that once the emedical is done and sent by DMP (lets say in a weeks time), the PPR will be sent in by another week.

Anyone received PPR after eMedicals?

Hi Guys

Just want to know what is COPR and what does it says??

Thanks in advance

COPR is the Confirmation of Permanent Residence document that is needed to do your landing at the border.

I noticed several people who did their eMedicals after March 20th have received PPR.

Friends,

I have sent my passports to Ottawa and they have been delivered y'day.

Any idea how long it would take to get the passports returned back with Visa stamping?

There is a wave of PPRs since the beginning of this month but I haven't read about anyone getting their passport back yet...

Edit: Just noticed in the May thread that it only takes two weeks for passport return for a May applicant.

Hey Guys - I have received my medical request last week and scheduled a medical appointment for next week. I have a dilemma and would really appreciate some help.

I am planning to get married but it can take a couple of months. What would you suggest if I want to add my spouse to my application (she doesn't reside in Canada)? When is the latest I can add spouse to my application and what implications it will have on my own PR application, I mean will it get delayed or something?

You need to notify CIC as soon as you formalize your marriage. My recommendation is that you include your spouse in your application at the earliest possible time following your marriage. Regarding the effect on your application, it will probably cause a delay which although difficult to speculate, it's usually weeks rather than years delay.

fozfer,

Continue with your medicals ASAP.. and within one month time you can expect PPR request..
There are 2 possibilities:

1. Since you said you have couple of months for your marriage, you would finish your PR first and then you can sponsor for your spouse.

2. You finalize your marriage date before the PPR request, If so, you can update CIC with your new status and add your spouse to your application.. I have a friend whose application delayed for 3 months when he had a child before getting the PPR request.

Thanks guys!

@ganesh123 - I agree with you to the point that it can delay my own application, but if I sponsor spouse after getting my PR, it takes months and may be years for the spouse to get approval as the whole process will start from the scratch. So, isn't it better to delay the application for a couple of months now rather than wait for so long for the spouses' PR?
