Hi all, great to find such a helpful community. My wife and I have just submitted our application for spousal sponsorship. Mississauga received our application on Tuesday 5th and if she is accepted as a sponsor then it will be passed onto the London office.
We Have been apart for a year already and the wait is agonizing but we know that we have a way to go yet. We submitted all the forms, two police checks, three medicals (1 for me and one for each of my dependent non-accompanying children), 22 pages of Skype call logs, 200 photos dates with info, rental agreement and bank details of joint account. Marriage Licence, Option C Tax form for my wife who is Canadian. Letters from friends and family, copies of passports and very long descriptions of our relationship development from each of us
Anyone else just made an application?

Colin

I included similar proof...well done! I hope the processing time speeds up for June applicants...and for all applicants!!!

Just sent our application this morning via Canada post-priority mail after 5 weeks of waiting for my Police clearance in Canada which is according to some post here not recommended since if the CIC wants to have my record they'll be the one to do so. Oh well, what is done is done.Today is the start of a very longgggg wait...We are an inland applicants so God bless us all! :)

Time to unwind to newfoundland for 3 weeks, after all this whole process really stressing me out! :)

We just sent our application this morning. Good luck to all of us! :)

did you used barcoded application or handwritten?

I mailed off my application with Express Post on May 31 and it arrived in Mississauga the next day. So I guess that makes me a June applicant :) I'm applying outland in Vienna (I only realized that Berlin had been closed after sending in the app, but that hopefully shouldn't cause any issues). Let the wait begin.

I have a question. Me and my husband are waiting for the payment form to be delivered to my husband address in Canada and as soon and he make the payment, he will mail the application.
i think he didn't make the form C for taxes, since he was not working in Canada since 2007, and has been there for short visits to his family (he is a Canadian). we have lived in Albania since 2007 until 5th of may 2012, the day he returned to Canada. on 2010 we tried once to start our sponsorship application, but on that time our daughter was asking for him and we decided he to come back home( in Albania), and to wait until she can understand a bit more (now she is round 5), and she is OK so far with the absence of her father, she understands more i think now.
My question is: does my husband has to make this form C for taxes? If we send our application without this printout form it will be a case to send it back without processing???
This time he is away we communicate on phone or by e-mails, do we have to put them in the supporting documents as well?? I believe that having children, leaving together for 5 years its enough evidence for our "genuine relation-ship" as they call. we do have joint bank accounts, pictures, but not friends declarations, etc.

The Option C form is like a tax return and will only show what Tax you have paid and what benefits you have claimed if any.
Canada also requires that all Canadian residents pay income tax on world income. They may want to know what his income has been since he has been away.
You should include as much evidence of an ongoing relationship as you can. Having said that, you only need to include a few documents from each catagory. I wouldn't include every Skype call you have ever made to each other....They basically want to see that you have had contact every week/month.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Not sure Mohaab....as long as your checklist is included and complete I don't think you have anything to worry about. They will let you know if they need anything else.

Thanks Forester 2000!
Very helpful your explanation, i think we have evidence on what you explained before.

We have printed out his income for the last four years he worked here, but i didn't include my income or bank statement related to my salary!!! In Albania we don't have one bank account like in Canada, you have to open a bank account where your employee operates. so it is not a joint account.
good luck to your sponsorship application!

Hello everyone. We mailed our application yesterday on June 8th and it was my birthday. :) our package was 2.8 pounds heavy. :) we included our phone bills, text messages between us, 10 letters from friends and family members. Around 300 pictures :) and we both write about our relationship 6pages each. Hopefully that's enough ;) we applied Outland, first missisauga and then Warsaw - Poland ;)
Good luck to all of us :)

Bank statements aren't necessary if you are married unless you are trying to show a joint bank account.
I'm sure everything will be fine. Good luck with your application.

We sent ours by post on May 18th. How are you all finding out yours were "received" so quickly? I'm the sponsor, (paid online my credit card), have official receipt, but unable to use CIC's check status online feature yet using 'receipt #' and either my place and date of birth nor hers (coz I'm not sure which one to use). I have yet to receive something back from CIC.
